Galatians 3:2
AMP: This is all I want to ask of you: did you receive the [Holy] Spirit as the result of obeying [the requirements of] the Law, or was it the result of hearing [the message of salvation and] with faith [believing it]?
ASV: This only would I learn from you. Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
BSB: I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law, or by hearing with faith?

Galatians 3:5
AMP: So then, does He who supplies you with His [marvelous Holy] Spirit and works miracles among you, do it as a result of the works of the Law [which you perform], or because you [believe confidently in the message which you] heard with faith?
ASV: He therefore that supplieth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, [doeth he it] by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
BSB: Does God lavish His Spirit on you and work miracles among you because you practice the law, or because you hear and believe?

ASV: Know therefore that they that are of faith, the same are sons of Abraham.
BSB: Understand, then, that those who have faith are sons of Abraham.
DARBY: Know then that they that are on the principle of faith, these are Abraham's sons;
DRA: Know ye therefore, that they who are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
KJV: Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

AMP: So then those who are people of faith [whether Jew or Gentile] are blessed and favored by God [and declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty, and placed in right standing with Him] along with Abraham, the believer.
ASV: So then they that are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.
BSB: So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.
DARBY: So that they who are on the principle of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.
DRA: Therefore they that are of faith, shall be blessed with faithful Abraham.

Galatians 3:10
AMP: For all who depend on the Law [seeking justification and salvation by obedience to the Law and the observance of rituals] are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed (condemned to destruction) is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, so as to practice them.” [Deut 27:26]

AMP: Now it is clear that no one is justified [that is, declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty, and placed in right standing] before God by the Law, for “The righteous (the just, the upright) shall live by faith.” [Hab 2:4]
ASV: Now that no man is justified by the law before God, is evident: for, The righteous shall live by faith;
BSB: Now it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because, “The righteous will live by faith.”
DARBY: but that by law no one is justified with God [is] evident, because The just shall live on the principle of faith;
DRA: But that in the law no man is justified with God, it is manifest: because the just man liveth by faith.
KJV: But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
Galatians 3:12
AMP: But the Law does not rest on or require faith [it has nothing to do with faith], but [instead, the Law] says, “He who practices them [the things prescribed by the Law] shall live by them [instead of faith].” [Lev 18:5]
ASV: and the law is not of faith; but, He that doeth them shall live in them.
BSB: The law, however, is not based on faith; on the contrary, “The man who does these things will live by them.”
DARBY: but the law is not on the principle of faith; but, He that shall have done these things shall live by them.
DRA: But the law is not of faith: but, He that doth those things, shall live in them.
KJV: And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
Galatians 3:13
AMP: Christ purchased our freedom and redeemed us from the curse of the Law and its condemnation by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs [crucified] on a tree (cross)”— [Deut 21:23]
ASV: Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us; for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
BSB: Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. For it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”
DARBY: Christ has redeemed us out of the curse of the law, having become a curse for us, (for it is written, Cursed [is] every one hanged upon a tree,)
DRA: Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written: Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
KJV: Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Galatians 3:15
AMP: Brothers and sisters, I speak in terms of human relations: even though a last will and testament is just a human covenant, yet when it has been signed and made legally binding, no one sets it aside or adds to it [modifying it in some way].
ASV: Brethren, I speak after the manner of men: Though it be but a man`s covenant, yet when it hath been confirmed, no one maketh it void, or addeth thereto.
BSB: Brothers, let me put this in human terms. Even a human covenant, once it is ratified, cannot be canceled or amended.
DARBY: Brethren, (I speak according to man,) even man's confirmed covenant no one sets aside, or adds other dispositions to.
DRA: Brethren (I speak after the manner of man,) yet a man's testament, if it be confirmed, no man despiseth, nor addeth to it.
KJV: Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man’s covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.
Galatians 3:16
AMP: Now the promises [in the covenants] were decreed to Abraham and to his seed. God does not say, “And to seeds (descendants, heirs),” as if [referring] to many [persons], but as to one, “And to your Seed,” who is [none other than] Christ. [Gen 13:15; 17:8]
ASV: Now to Abraham were the promises spoken, and to his seed. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
BSB: The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say, “and to seeds,” meaning many, but “and to your seed,” meaning One, who is Christ.
DARBY: But to Abraham were the promises addressed, and to his seed: he does not say, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed; which is Christ.
DRA: To Abraham were the promises made and to his seed. He saith not, And to his seeds, as of many: but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
KJV: Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
Galatians 3:17
AMP: This is what I mean: the Law, which came into existence four hundred and thirty years later [after the covenant concerning the coming Messiah], does not and cannot invalidate the covenant previously established by God, so as to abolish the promise. [Ex 12:40]
ASV: Now this I say: A covenant confirmed beforehand by God, the law, which came four hundred and thirty years after, doth not disannul, so as to make the promise of none effect.
BSB: What I mean is this: The law that came 430 years later does not revoke the covenant previously established by God, so as to nullify the promise.
DARBY: Now I say this, A covenant confirmed beforehand by God, the law, which took place four hundred and thirty years after, does not annul, so as to make the promise of no effect.
DRA: Now this I say, that the testament which was confirmed by God, the law which was made after four hundred and thirty years, doth not disannul, to make the promise of no effect.
KJV: And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
Galatians 3:18
AMP: For if the inheritance [of what was promised] is based on [observing] the Law [as these false teachers claim], it is no longer based on a promise; however, God granted it to Abraham [as a gift] by virtue of His promise.
ASV: For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no more of promise: but God hath granted it to Abraham by promise.
BSB: For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on a promise; but God freely granted it to Abraham through a promise.
DARBY: For if the inheritance [be] on the principle of law, [it is] no longer on the principle of promise; but God gave it in grace to Abraham by promise.
DRA: For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise. But God gave it to Abraham by promise.
KJV: For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
Galatians 3:19
AMP: Why, then, the Law [what was its purpose]? It was added [after the promise to Abraham, to reveal to people their guilt] because of transgressions [that is, to make people conscious of the sinfulness of sin], and [the Law] was ordained through angels and delivered to Israel by the hand of a mediator [Moses, the mediator between God and Israel, to be in effect] until the Seed would come to whom the promise had been made.
ASV: What then is the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise hath been made; [and it was] ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.
BSB: Why then was the law given? It was added because of transgressions, until the arrival of the seed to whom the promise referred. It was administered through angels by a mediator.
DARBY: Why then the law? It was added for the sake of transgressions, until the seed came to whom the promise was made, ordained through angels in [the] hand of a mediator.
DRA: Why then was the law? It was set because of transgressions, until the seed should come, to whom he made the promise, being ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
KJV: Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
Galatians 3:20
AMP: Now the mediator or go-between [in a transaction] is not [needed] for just one party; whereas God is only one [and was the only One giving the promise to Abraham, but the Law was a contract between two, God and Israel; its validity depended on both].
ASV: Now a mediator is not [a mediator] of one; but God is one.
BSB: A mediator is unnecessary, however, for only one party; but God is one.
DARBY: But a mediator is not of one, but God is one.
DRA: Now a mediator is not of one: but God is one.
KJV: Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.
Galatians 3:21
AMP: Is the Law then contrary to the promises of God? Certainly not! For if a system of law had been given which could impart life, then righteousness (right standing with God) would actually have been based on law.
ASV: Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could make alive, verily righteousness would have been of the law.
BSB: Is the law, then, opposed to the promises of God? Certainly not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come from the law.
DARBY: [Is] then the law against the promises of God? Far be the thought. For if a law had been given able to quicken, then indeed righteousness were on the principle of law;
DRA: Was the law then against the promises of God? God forbid. For if there had been a law given which could give life, verily justice should have been by the law.
KJV: Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
Galatians 3:22
AMP: But the Scripture has imprisoned everyone [everything—the entire world] under sin, so that [the inheritance, the blessing of salvation] which was promised through faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe [in Him and acknowledge Him as God’s precious Son].
ASV: But the scriptures shut up all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
BSB: But the Scripture pronounces all things confined by sin, so that by faith in Jesus Christ the promise might be given to those who believe.
DARBY: but the scripture has shut up all things under sin, that the promise, on the principle of faith of Jesus Christ, should be given to those that believe.
DRA: But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise, by the faith of Jesus Christ, might be given to them that believe.
KJV: But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
Galatians 3:23
AMP: Now before faith came, we were kept in custody under the Law, [perpetually] imprisoned [in preparation] for the faith that was destined to be revealed,
ASV: But before faith came, we were kept in ward under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
BSB: Before this faith came, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until faith should be revealed.
DARBY: But before faith came, we were guarded under law, shut up to faith [which was] about to be revealed.
DRA: But before the faith came, we were kept under the law shut up, unto that faith which was to be revealed.
KJV: But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
Galatians 3:24
AMP: with the result that the Law has become our tutor and our disciplinarian to guide us to Christ, so that we may be justified [that is, declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty, and placed in right standing with God] by faith.
ASV: So that the law is become our tutor [to bring us] unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
BSB: So the law became our guardian to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
DARBY: So that the law has been our tutor up to Christ, that we might be justified on the principle of faith.
DRA: Wherefore the law was our pedagogue in Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
KJV: Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
Galatians 3:25
AMP: But now that faith has come, we are no longer under [the control and authority of] a tutor and disciplinarian.
ASV: But now faith that is come, we are no longer under a tutor.
BSB: Now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.
DARBY: But, faith having come, we are no longer under a tutor;
DRA: But after the faith is come, we are no longer under a pedagogue.
KJV: But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
Galatians 3:26
AMP: For you [who are born-again have been reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified and] are all children of God [set apart for His purpose with full rights and privileges] through faith in Christ Jesus.
ASV: For ye are all sons of God, through faith, in Christ Jesus.
BSB: You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3:27
AMP: For all of you who were baptized into Christ [into a spiritual union with the Christ, the Anointed] have clothed yourselves with Christ [that is, you have taken on His characteristics and values].
ASV: For as many of you as were baptized into Christ did put on Christ.
BSB: For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
DARBY: For ye, as many as have been baptised unto Christ, have put on Christ.
DRA: For as many of you as have been baptized in Christ, have put on Christ.
KJV: For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Galatians 3:28
AMP: There is [now no distinction in regard to salvation] neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you [who believe] are all one in Christ Jesus [no one can claim a spiritual superiority]. [Rom 3:22; 1 Cor 12:13]
ASV: There can be neither Jew nor Greek, there can be neither bond nor free, there can be no male and female; for ye all are one [man] in Christ Jesus.
BSB: There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
DARBY: There is no Jew nor Greek; there is no bondman nor freeman; there is no male and female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus:
DRA: There is neither Jew nor Greek: there is neither bond nor free: there is neither male nor female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.
KJV: There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
