Job 27:1

ASV: And Job again took up his parable, and said,

Job 27:2

ASV: As God liveth, who hath taken away my right, And the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul:

DARBY: [As] God liveth, who hath taken away my right, and the Almighty, who hath embittered my soul,

DRA: As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment, and the Almighty, who hath brought my soul to bitterness,

Job 27:3

ASV: (For my life is yet whole in me, And the spirit of God is in my nostrils);

DARBY: All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils,

Job 27:4

ASV: Surely my lips shall not speak unrighteousness, Neither shall my tongue utter deceit.

Job 27:5

ASV: Far be it from me that I should justify you: Till I die I will not put away mine integrity from me.

DARBY: Be it far from me that I should justify you; till I die I will not remove my blamelessness from me.

DRA: God forbid that I should judge you to be just: till I die I will not depart from my innocence.

Job 27:6

ASV: My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: My heart shall not reproach [me] so long as I live.

DRA: My justification, which I have begun to hold, I will not forsake: for my heart doth not reprehend me in all my life.

ASV: Let mine enemy be as the wicked, And let him that riseth up against me be as the unrighteous.

ASV: For what is the hope of the godless, though he get him gain, When God taketh away his soul?

DRA: For what is the hope of the hypocrite if through covetousness he take by violence, and God deliver not his soul?

Job 27:9

ASV: Will God hear his cry, When trouble cometh upon him?

DARBY: Will God hear his cry when distress cometh upon him?

DRA: Will God hear his cry, when distress shall come upon him?

Job 27:10

ASV: Will he delight himself in the Almighty, And call upon God at all times?

DARBY: Doth he delight himself in the Almighty? will he at all times call upon God?

DRA: Or can he delight himself in the Almighty, and call upon God at all times?

Job 27:11

ASV: I will teach you concerning the hand of God; That which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.

DRA: I will teach you by the hand of God, what the Almighty hath, and I will not conceal it.

ASV: Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it; Why then are ye become altogether vain?

ASV: This is the portion of a wicked man with God, And the heritage of oppressors, which they receive from the Almighty:

ASV: If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword; And his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.
