Job 28:1

AMP: “Surely there is a mine for silver,And a place where they refine gold.

ASV: Surely there is a mine for silver, And a place for gold which they refine.

BSB: “Surely there is a mine for silverand a place where gold is refined.

DARBY: Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for gold which they refine;

DRA: Silver hath beginnings of its veins, and gold hath a place wherein it is melted.

Job 28:2

AMP: “Iron is taken out of the earth,And copper is smelted from the stone ore.

Job 28:4

AMP: “He breaks open (mine) shafts far away from where people live,[In places] forgotten by the [human] foot;They dangle [in the mines] and hang away from men.

ASV: He breaketh open a shaft away from where men sojourn; They are forgotten of the foot; They hang afar from men, they swing to and fro.

BSB: Far from human habitation he cuts a shaftin places forgotten by the foot of man.Far from men he dangles and sways.

Job 28:5

AMP: “[As for] the earth, out of it comes food,But underneath [its surface, down deep] it is turned over as fire.

ASV: As for the earth, out of it cometh bread; And underneath it is turned up as it were by fire.
