Job 36:2
ASV: Suffer me a little, and I will show thee; For I have yet somewhat to say on God`s behalf.
DARBY: Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that I have yet words for God.
DRA: Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee : for I have yet somewhat to speak in God's behalf.

Job 36:3
ASV: I will fetch my knowledge from afar, And will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
DARBY: I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Creator.
DRA: I will repeat my knowledge from the beginning, and I will prove my Maker just.

Job 36:4
ASV: For truly my words are not false: One that is perfect in knowledge is with thee.

ASV: Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: He is mighty in strength of understanding.

Job 36:6
ASV: He preserveth not the life of the wicked, But giveth to the afflicted [their] right.

Job 36:7
ASV: He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: But with kings upon the throne He setteth them for ever, and they are exalted.

DRA: He will not take away his eyes from the just, and he placeth kings on the throne for ever, and they are exalted.

Job 36:8
ASV: And if they be bound in fetters, And be taken in the cords of afflictions;

DRA: And if they shall be in chains, and be bound with the cords of poverty :

Job 36:9
ASV: Then he showeth them their work, And their transgressions, that they have behaved themselves proudly.

DRA: He shall shew them their works, and their wicked deeds, because they have been violent.

ASV: He openeth also their ear to instruction, And commandeth that they return from iniquity.

ASV: If they hearken and serve [him], They shall spend their days in prosperity, And their years in pleasures.

ASV: But if they hearken not, they shall perish by the sword, And they shall die without knowledge.

ASV: But they that are godless in heart lay up anger: They cry not for help when he bindeth them.
DARBY: But the godless in heart heap up anger; they cry not when he bindeth them:
DRA: Dissemblers and crafty men prove the wrath of God, neither shall they cry when they are bound.
KJV: But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them.
Job 36:14
ASV: They die in youth, And their life [perisheth] among the unclean.
DARBY: Their soul dieth in youth, and their life is among the unclean.
DRA: Their soul shall die in a storm, and their life among the effeminate.
KJV: They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean.
Job 36:15
ASV: He delivereth the afflicted by their affliction, And openeth their ear in oppression.
DARBY: But he delivereth the afflicted in his affliction, and openeth their ear in [their] oppression.
DRA: He shall deliver the poor out of his distress, and shall open his ear in affliction.
KJV: He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.
Job 36:16
ASV: Yea, he would have allured thee out of distress Into a broad place, where there is no straitness; And that which is set on thy table would be full of fatness.
DARBY: Even so would he have allured thee out of the jaws of distress into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and the supply of thy table [would be] full of fatness.
DRA: Therefore he shall set thee at large out of the narrow mouth, and which hath no foundation under it : and the rest of thy table shall be full of fatness.
KJV: Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and that which should be set on thy table should be full of fatness.
Job 36:17
ASV: But thou art full of the judgment of the wicked: Judgment and justice take hold [on thee].
DARBY: But thou art full of the judgments of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold [on thee].
DRA: Thy cause hath been judged as that of the wicked, cause and judgment thou shalt recover.
KJV: But thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold on thee.
Job 36:18
ASV: For let not wrath stir thee up against chastisements; Neither let the greatness of the ransom turn thee aside.
DARBY: Because there is wrath, [beware] lest it take thee away through chastisement: then a great ransom could not avail thee.
DRA: Therefore let not anger overcome thee to oppress any man : neither let multitude of gifts turn thee aside.
KJV: Because there is wrath, beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee.

ASV: Will thy cry avail, [that thou be] not in distress, Or all the forces of [thy] strength?
DARBY: Will he esteem thy riches? Not gold, nor all the resources of strength!
DRA: Lay down thy greatness without tribulation, and all the mighty of strength.

ASV: Desire not the night, When peoples are cut off in their place.

ASV: Take heed, regard not iniquity: For this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.

ASV: Behold, God doeth loftily in his power: Who is a teacher like unto him?
DARBY: Lo, God is exalted in his power: who teacheth as he?

ASV: Who hath enjoined him his way? Or who can say, Thou hast wrought unrighteousness?

DRA: Who can search out his ways? or who can say to him : Thou has wrought iniquity?

ASV: Remember that thou magnify his work, Whereof men have sung.

ASV: All men have looked thereon; Man beholdeth it afar off.

ASV: Behold, God is great, and we know him not; The number of his years is unsearchable.

ASV: For he draweth up the drops of water, Which distil in rain from his vapor,
DARBY: For he draweth up the drops of water: they distil in rain from the vapour which he formeth,
DRA: He lifteth up the drops of rain, and poureth out showers like floods :
KJV: For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:
Job 36:28
ASV: Which the skies pour down And drop upon man abundantly.

ASV: Yea, can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, The thunderings of his pavilion?

ASV: Behold, he spreadeth his light around him; And he covereth the bottom of the sea.
DARBY: Lo, he spreadeth his light around him, and covereth the bottom of the sea.
DRA: And lighten with his light from above, he shall cover also the ends of the sea.

ASV: For by these he judgeth the peoples; He giveth food in abundance.

Job 36:32
ASV: He covereth his hands with the lightning, And giveth it a charge that it strike the mark.

ASV: The noise thereof telleth concerning him, The cattle also concerning [the storm] that cometh up.
DARBY: His thundering declareth concerning him; the cattle even, concerning its coming.
DRA: He sheweth his friend concerning it, that it is his possession, and that he may come up to it.
