Job 36:2

AMP: “Bear with me a little longer, and I will show you,That there is yet more to say on God’s behalf.

ASV: Suffer me a little, and I will show thee; For I have yet somewhat to say on God`s behalf.

BSB: “Bear with me a little longer, and I will show youthat there is more to be said on God’s behalf.

DARBY: Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that I have yet words for God.

Job 36:3

AMP: “I will bring my knowledge from afar,And will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.

Job 36:4

Job 36:5

Job 36:6

AMP: “He does not prolong the life of the wicked,But gives the afflicted their justice.

Job 36:7

AMP: “He does not withdraw His eyes from the righteous [those in right standing with Him];But with kings upon the throneHe has seated them forever, and they are exalted.

BSB: He does not take His eyes off the righteous,but He enthrones them with kingsand exalts them forever.

Job 36:8

AMP: “And if they are bound in bonds [of adversity],And held by cords of affliction, [Ps 107:10, 11]

Job 36:9

AMP: Then He declares to them [the true character of] their deedsAnd their transgressions, that they have acted arrogantly [with presumption and notions of self-sufficiency].

ASV: Then he showeth them their work, And their transgressions, that they have behaved themselves proudly.

BSB: then He tells them their deedsand how arrogantly they have transgressed.

DARBY: Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions, because they have increased.

DRA: He shall shew them their works, and their wicked deeds, because they have been violent.

Job 36:10

AMP: “He opens their ears to instruction and discipline,And commands that they return from evil.

Job 36:11

AMP: “If they hear and serve Him,They will end their days in prosperityAnd their years in pleasantness and joy.

AMP: “But the godless in heart store up anger [at the divine discipline];They do not cry [to Him] for help when He binds them [with cords of affliction]. [Rom 2:5]

ASV: But they that are godless in heart lay up anger: They cry not for help when he bindeth them.

BSB: The godless in heart harbor resentment;even when He binds them, they do not cry for help.

ASV: Yea, he would have allured thee out of distress Into a broad place, where there is no straitness; And that which is set on thy table would be full of fatness.

BSB: Indeed, He drew you from the jaws of distressto a spacious and broad place,to a table full of richness.

Job 36:17

AMP: ¶“But you [Job] were full of judgment on the wicked,Judgment and justice take hold of you.

BSB: But now you are laden with the judgment due the wicked;judgment and justice have seized you.

AMP: “Do not let wrath entice you into scoffing;And do not let the greatness and the extent of the ransom turn you aside.

BSB: Be careful that no one lures you with riches;do not let a large bribe lead you astray.
