Job 8:2

AMP: “How long will you say these things?And will the words of your mouth be a mighty wind?

ASV: How long wilt thou speak these things? And [how long] shall the words of thy mouth be [like] a mighty wind?

BSB: “How long will you go on saying such things?The words of your mouth are a blustering wind.

DARBY: How long wilt thou speak these things? and the words of thy mouth be a strong wind?

Job 8:3

AMP: “Does God pervert justice?Or does the Almighty pervert righteousness?

ASV: Doth God pervert justice? Or doth the Almighty pervert righteousness?

Job 8:4

AMP: “If your children have sinned against Him,Then He has handed them over to the power of their transgression and punished them.

ASV: If thy children have sinned against him, And he hath delivered them into the hand of their transgression;

Job 8:5

AMP: “If you would [diligently] seek GodAnd implore the compassion and favor of the Almighty,

Job 8:6

AMP: Then, if you are pure and upright,Surely now He will awaken for youAnd restore your righteous place.

ASV: If thou wert pure and upright: Surely now he would awake for thee, And make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.

BSB: if you are pure and upright,even now He will rouse Himself on your behalfand restore your righteous estate.

Job 8:7

AMP: “Though your beginning was insignificant,Yet your end will greatly increase.

Job 8:10

AMP: “Will they (the fathers) not teach you and tell you,And utter words from their hearts [the deepest part of their nature]?

Job 8:11

AMP: ¶“Can the papyrus grow up without a marsh?Can the rushes or reed grass grow without water?
