Leviticus 27:1

Leviticus 27:2

AMP: “Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘When a man makes a special vow [consecrating himself or a member of his family], he shall be valued according to your [established system of] valuation of people belonging to the Lord [that is, the priest accepts from the man making the vow a specified amount of money for the temple treasury in place of the actual person].

ASV: Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall accomplish a vow, the persons shall be for Jehovah by thy estimation.

BSB: “Speak to the Israelites and say to them, ‘When someone makes a special vow to the LORD involving the value of persons,

DARBY: Speak unto the children of Israel and say unto them, When any one devoteth [anything] by a vow, the persons shall be for Jehovah according to thy valuation.

DRA: Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: The man that shall have made a vow, and promised his soul to God, shall give the price according to estimation.

KJV: Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall make a singular vow, the persons shall be for the LORD by thy estimation.

Leviticus 27:3

AMP: If your valuation is of a male between twenty and sixty years of age, then your valuation shall be fifty shekels of silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary.

ASV: And thy estimation shall be of the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even thy estimation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.

BSB: if the valuation concerns a male from twenty to sixty years of age, then your valuation shall be fifty shekels of silver, according to the sanctuary shekel.

Leviticus 27:4

AMP: Or if the person is a female, then your valuation shall be thirty shekels.

ASV: And if it be a female, then thy estimation shall be thirty shekels.

BSB: Or if it is a female, then your valuation shall be thirty shekels.

DARBY: and if it be of a female, thy valuation shall be thirty shekels.

DRA: If a woman, thirty.

Leviticus 27:5

AMP: If the person is between five years and twenty years of age, then your valuation for the male shall be twenty shekels and for the female ten shekels.

ASV: And if it be from five years old even unto twenty years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

BSB: And if the person is from five to twenty years of age, then your valuation for the male shall be twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

Leviticus 27:6

AMP: But if the child is between one month and five years of age, then your valuation shall be five shekels of silver for the male and three shekels for the female.

ASV: And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver.

BSB: Now if the person is from one month to five years of age, then your valuation for the male shall be five shekels of silver, and for the female three shekels of silver.

DARBY: And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, thy valuation of the male shall be five shekels of silver; and for the female thy valuation shall be three shekels of silver.

DRA: From one month until the fifth year. for a male shall be given five sides: for a female three.

Leviticus 27:7

AMP: If the person is sixty years old and above, your valuation shall be fifteen shekels for the male, and ten shekels for the female.

ASV: And if it be from sixty years old and upward; if it be a male, then thy estimation shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

BSB: And if the person is sixty years of age or older, then your valuation shall be fifteen shekels for the male and ten shekels for the female.

DARBY: And if it be from sixty years old and above, if it be a male, thy valuation shall be fifteen shekels; and for the female ten shekels.

DRA: A man that is sixty years old or upward, shall give fifteen aisles: a woman ten.

KJV: And if it be from sixty years old and above; if it be a male, then thy estimation shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

Leviticus 27:8

AMP: But if the person is too poor to pay your valuation, then he shall be placed before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to the ability of the one who vowed, the priest shall value him.

ASV: But if he be poorer than thy estimation, then he shall be set before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to the ability of him that vowed shall the priest value him.

BSB: But if the one making the vow is too poor to pay the valuation, he is to present the person before the priest, who shall set the value according to what the one making the vow can afford.

DARBY: And if he be poorer than thy valuation, he shall present himself before the priest, and the priest shall value him: according to his means that vowed shall the priest value him.

DRA: If he be poor, and not able to pay tile estimation, he shall stand before tile priest: and as much as he shall value him at, and see him able to pay, so much shall he give.

KJV: But if he be poorer than thy estimation, then he shall present himself before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to his ability that vowed shall the priest value him.

Leviticus 27:9

AMP: ‘Now if it is an animal of the kind which men can present as an offering to the Lord, any such that one gives to the Lord shall be holy.

ASV: And if it be a beast, whereof men offer an oblation unto Jehovah, all that any man giveth of such unto Jehovah shall be holy.

BSB: If he vows an animal that may be brought as an offering to the LORD, any such animal given to the LORD shall be holy.

DARBY: And if it be a beast whereof men bring an offering unto Jehovah, all that they give of such unto Jehovah shall be holy.

DRA: But a beast that may be sacrificed to the Lord, if ally one shall vow, shall be holy,

KJV: And if it be a beast, whereof men bring an offering unto the LORD, all that any man giveth of such unto the LORD shall be holy.

Leviticus 27:10

AMP: He shall not replace it or exchange it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good; but if he does exchange an animal for an animal, then both the original offering and its substitute shall be holy.

ASV: He shall not alter it, nor change it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good: and if he shall at all change beast for beast, then both it and that for which it is changed shall be holy.

BSB: He must not replace it or exchange it, either good for bad or bad for good. But if he does substitute one animal for another, both that animal and its substitute will be holy.

Leviticus 27:11

AMP: If it is any unclean animal of the kind which men do not present as an offering to the Lord, then he shall bring the animal before the priest,

ASV: And if it be any unclean beast, of which they do not offer an oblation unto Jehovah, then he shall set the beast before the priest;

BSB: But if the vow involves any of the unclean animals that may not be brought as an offering to the LORD, the animal must be presented before the priest.

DARBY: And if it be any unclean beast, of which they do not bring an offering unto Jehovah, then he shall present the beast before the priest;

DRA: An unclean beast, which cannot be sacrificed to the Lord, if my man shall vow, shall be brought before the priest:

Leviticus 27:12

AMP: and the priest shall value it as either good or bad; it shall be as you, the priest, value it.

ASV: and the priest shall value it, whether it be good or bad: as thou the priest valuest it, so shall it be.

BSB: The priest shall set its value, whether high or low; as the priest values it, the price will be set.

DARBY: and the priest shall value it, [judging] between good and bad: according to the valuation of the priest, so shall it be.

DRA: Who judging whether it be good or bad, shall set the price:

KJV: And the priest shall value it, whether it be good or bad: as thou valuest it, who art the priest, so shall it be.

Leviticus 27:13

AMP: But if he ever wishes to redeem it, then he shall add one-fifth of it to your valuation.

ASV: But if he will indeed redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part thereof unto thy estimation.

BSB: If, however, the owner decides to redeem the animal, he must add a fifth to its value.

DARBY: And if they will in any wise redeem it, then they shall add a fifth [part] thereof unto thy valuation.

DRA: Which if he that offereth it will give, he shall add above the estimation the fifth part.

KJV: But if he will at all redeem it, then he shall add a fifth part thereof unto thy estimation.

Leviticus 27:14

AMP: ‘If a man consecrates his house as sacred to the Lord, the priest shall appraise it as either good or bad; as the priest appraises it, so shall it stand.

ASV: And when a man shall sanctify his house to be holy unto Jehovah, then the priest shall estimate it, whether it be good or bad: as the priest shall estimate it, so shall it stand.

BSB: Now if a man consecrates his house as holy to the LORD, then the priest shall value it either as good or bad. The price will stand just as the priest values it.

DARBY: And when any one halloweth his house, that it may be holy to Jehovah, the priest shall value it, [judging] between good and bad: as the priest shall value it, so shall it stand.

DRA: If a man shall vow his house, and sanctify it to the Lord, the priest shall consider it, whether it be good or bad, and it shall be sold according to the price, which he shall appoint.

KJV: And when a man shall sanctify his house to be holy unto the LORD, then the priest shall estimate it, whether it be good or bad: as the priest shall estimate it, so shall it stand.

Leviticus 27:15

AMP: If the one who consecrates his house should wish to redeem it, then he shall add one-fifth of your valuation price to it, so that it may be his.

ASV: And if he that sanctified it will redeem his house, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it shall be his.

BSB: But if he who consecrated his house redeems it, he must add a fifth to the assessed value, and it will belong to him.

DARBY: And if he that halloweth it will redeem his house, he shall add the fifth of the money of thy valuation unto it, and it shall be his.

DRA: But if he that vowed, will redeem it, he shall give the fifth part of the estimation over and above, and shall have the house.

KJV: And if he that sanctified it will redeem his house, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it shall be his.

Leviticus 27:16

AMP: ‘And if a man consecrates to the Lord part of a field of his own property, then your valuation shall be proportionate to the seed needed for it; a homer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver.

ASV: And if a man shall sanctify unto Jehovah part of the field of his possession, then thy estimation shall be according to the sowing thereof: the sowing of a homer of barley [shall be valued] at fifty shekels of silver.

BSB: If a man consecrates to the LORD a parcel of his land, then your valuation shall be proportional to the seed required for it — fifty shekels of silver for every homer of barley seed.

DARBY: And if a man hallow to Jehovah [part] of a field of his possession, thy valuation shall be according to what may be sown in it: the homer of barley seed at fifty shekels of silver.

DRA: And if he vow the field of his possession, and consecrate it to the Lord, the price shall be rated according to the measure of the seed. If the ground be sowed with thirty bushels of barley, let it be sold for fifty sides of silver.

KJV: And if a man shall sanctify unto the LORD some part of a field of his possession, then thy estimation shall be according to the seed thereof: an homer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver.

Leviticus 27:17

AMP: If he consecrates his field during the Year of Jubilee, it shall stand according to your valuation.

ASV: If he sanctify his field from the year of jubilee, according to thy estimation it shall stand.

BSB: If he consecrates his field during the Year of Jubilee, the price will stand according to your valuation.

DARBY: If he hallow his field from the year of jubilee, according to thy valuation shall it stand;

DRA: If he vow his field immediately from the year of jubilee that is beginning, as much as it may be worth, at so much it shall be rated.

KJV: If he sanctify his field from the year of jubile, according to thy estimation it shall stand.

Leviticus 27:18

AMP: But if he consecrates his field after the Jubilee, then the priest shall calculate the price for him in proportion to the years that remain until the Year of Jubilee; and it shall be deducted from your valuation.

ASV: But if he sanctify his field after the jubilee, then the priest shall reckon unto him the money according to the years that remain unto the year of jubilee; and an abatement shall be made from thy estimation.

BSB: But if he consecrates his field after the Jubilee, the priest is to calculate the price in proportion to the years left until the next Year of Jubilee, so that your valuation will be reduced.

DARBY: but if he hallow his field after the jubilee, then the priest shall reckon unto him the money according to the years that remain, until the year of the jubilee; and there shall be a reduction from thy valuation.

DRA: But if some time after, the priest shall reckon the money according to the number of years that remain until the jubilee, and the price shall be abated.

KJV: But if he sanctify his field after the jubile, then the priest shall reckon unto him the money according to the years that remain, even unto the year of the jubile, and it shall be abated from thy estimation.

Leviticus 27:19

AMP: If the one who consecrates the field should ever wish to redeem it, then he shall add one-fifth of the appraisal price to it, so that it may return to him.

ASV: And if he that sanctified the field will indeed redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it shall be assured to him.

BSB: And if the one who consecrated the field decides to redeem it, he must add a fifth to the assessed value, and it shall belong to him.

DARBY: And if he that hallowed the field will in any wise redeem it, he shall add the fifth of the money of thy valuation unto it, and it shall be assured to him;

DRA: And if he that had vowed, will redeem his field, he shall add the fifth part of the money of the estimation, and shall possess it.

KJV: And if he that sanctified the field will in any wise redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it shall be assured to him.

Leviticus 27:20

AMP: If he does not redeem the field, but has sold it to another man, it may no longer be redeemed.

ASV: And if he will not redeem the field, or if he have sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed any more:

BSB: If, however, he does not redeem the field, or if he has sold it to another man, it may no longer be redeemed.

DARBY: but if he do not redeem the field, or if he sell the field to another man, it cannot be redeemed any more;

DRA: And if he will not redeem it, but it be sold to any other man, he that vowed it, may not redeem it any more:

KJV: And if he will not redeem the field, or if he have sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed any more.

Leviticus 27:21

AMP: When the field reverts in the Jubilee, the field shall be holy to the Lord, like a field set apart (devoted); the priest shall possess it as his property.

ASV: but the field, when it goeth out in the jubilee, shall be holy unto Jehovah, as a field devoted; the possession thereof shall be the priest`s.

BSB: When the field is released in the Jubilee, it will become holy, like a field devoted to the LORD; it becomes the property of the priests.

DARBY: and the field, when it goeth out in the jubilee, shall be holy to Jehovah, as a field devoted; the possession thereof shall be the priest's.

DRA: For when the day of jubilee cometh, it shall be sanctified to the Lord, and as a possession consecrated, pertaineth to the right of the priests.

KJV: But the field, when it goeth out in the jubile, shall be holy unto the LORD, as a field devoted; the possession thereof shall be the priest’s.

Leviticus 27:22

AMP: Or if a man consecrates to the Lord a field which he has bought, which is not part of the field of his [ancestral] property,

ASV: And if he sanctify unto Jehovah a field which he hath bought, which is not of the field of his possession;

BSB: Now if a man consecrates to the LORD a field he has purchased, which is not a part of his own property,

DARBY: And if he hallow to Jehovah a field that he hath bought, which is not of the fields of his possession,

DRA: If a field that was bought, and not of a man's ancestors' possession, be sanctified to the Lord,

KJV: And if a man sanctify unto the LORD a field which he hath bought, which is not of the fields of his possession;

Leviticus 27:23

AMP: then the priest shall calculate for him the amount of your valuation up to the Year of Jubilee; and the man shall give that [amount] on that day as a holy thing to the Lord.

ASV: then the priest shall reckon unto him the worth of thy estimation unto the year of jubilee: and he shall give thine estimation in that day, as a holy thing unto Jehovah.

BSB: then the priest shall calculate for him the value up to the Year of Jubilee, and the man shall pay the assessed value on that day as a sacred offering to the LORD.

DARBY: the priest shall reckon unto him the amount of thy valuation, unto the year of the jubilee; and he shall give thy valuation on that day, [as] holy to Jehovah.

DRA: The priest shall reckon the price according to the number of years: unto the jubilee: and he that had vowed, shall give that to the Lord.

KJV: Then the priest shall reckon unto him the worth of thy estimation, even unto the year of the jubile: and he shall give thine estimation in that day, as a holy thing unto the LORD.

Leviticus 27:24

AMP: In the Year of Jubilee the field shall return to the one from whom it was purchased, to whom the land belonged [as his ancestral inheritance].

ASV: In the year of jubilee the field shall return unto him of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession of the land belongeth.

BSB: In the Year of Jubilee the field shall return to the one from whom it was bought — the original owner of the land.

DARBY: In the year of the jubilee the field shall return unto him of whom it was bought to him to whom the land belonged.

DRA: But in the jubilee, it shall return to the former owner, who had sold it, and had it in the lot of his possession.

KJV: In the year of the jubile the field shall return unto him of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession of the land did belong.

Leviticus 27:25

AMP: Every valuation of yours shall be in accordance with the sanctuary shekel; twenty gerahs shall make a shekel.

ASV: And all thy estimations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs shall be the shekel.

BSB: Every valuation will be according to the sanctuary shekel, twenty gerahs to the shekel.

DARBY: And all thy valuation shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs shall be the shekel.

DRA: All estimation shall be made according to the side of the sanctuary. A sicle hath twenty obols.

KJV: And all thy estimations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs shall be the shekel.

Leviticus 27:26

AMP: ‘However, the firstborn among animals, which as a firstborn belongs to the Lord, no man may consecrate, whether an ox or a sheep. It is [already] the Lord’s.

ASV: Only the firstling among beasts, which is made a firstling to Jehovah, no man shall sanctify it; whether it be ox or sheep, it is Jehovah`s.

BSB: But no one may consecrate a firstborn of the livestock, because a firstborn belongs to the LORD. Whether it is an ox or a sheep, it is the LORD’s.

DARBY: Only the firstling which is offered as firstling to Jehovah among the cattle, that shall no man hallow, whether it be ox or sheep; it is Jehovah's.

DRA: The firstborn, which belong to the Lord, no man may sanctify and vow: whether it be bullock, or sheep, they are the Lord's.

KJV: Only the firstling of the beasts, which should be the LORD’S firstling, no man shall sanctify it; whether it be ox, or sheep: it is the LORD’S.

Leviticus 27:27

AMP: If it is among the unclean animals, the owner may redeem it in accordance with your valuation, and add one-fifth to it; or if it is not redeemed, then it shall be sold in accordance with your valuation.

ASV: And if it be of an unclean beast, then he shall ransom it according to thine estimation, and shall add unto it the fifth part thereof: or if it be not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to thy estimation.

BSB: But if it is among the unclean animals, then he may redeem it according to your valuation and add a fifth of its value. If it is not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to your valuation.

Leviticus 27:28

AMP: ‘But nothing that a man sets apart [that is, devotes as an offering] to the Lord out of all that he has, of man or of animal or of the fields of his own property, shall be sold or redeemed. Anything devoted to destruction (banned, cursed) is most holy to the Lord.

ASV: Notwithstanding, no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto Jehovah of all that he hath, whether of man or beast, or of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto Jehovah.

BSB: Nothing that a man sets apart to the LORD from all he owns — whether a man, an animal, or his inherited land — can be sold or redeemed; everything so devoted is most holy to the LORD.

DARBY: Notwithstanding, no devoted thing that a man hath devoted to Jehovah of all that he hath, of man or beast, or of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy to Jehovah.

DRA: Any thing that is devoted to the Lord, whether it be man, or beast, or field, shall not be sold, neither may it be redeemed. Whatsoever is once consecrated shall be holy of holies to the Lord.

KJV: Notwithstanding no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto the LORD of all that he hath, both of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto the LORD.

Leviticus 27:29

AMP: No one who may have been set apart among men shall be ransomed [from death], he shall most certainly be put to death.

ASV: No one devoted, that shall be devoted from among men, shall be ransomed; he shall surely be put to death.

BSB: No person set apart for destruction may be ransomed; he must surely be put to death.

DARBY: Nothing devoted, which shall be devoted from among men, shall be ransomed: it shall certainly be put to death.

DRA: And any consecration that is offered by man, shall not be redeemed, but dying shall die.

KJV: None devoted, which shall be devoted of men, shall be redeemed; but shall surely be put to death.

Leviticus 27:30

AMP: ‘And all the tithe (tenth part) of the land, whether the seed of the land or the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s; it is holy to the Lord. [1 Cor 9:11; Gal 6:6]

ASV: And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is Jehovah`s: it is holy unto Jehovah.

BSB: Thus any tithe from the land, whether from the seed of the land or the fruit of the trees, belongs to the LORD; it is holy to the LORD.

DARBY: And as to every tithe of the land, of the seed of the land, and of the fruit of the tree, it is Jehovah's: it is holy to Jehovah.

DRA: All tithes of the land, whether of corn, or of the fruits of trees, are the Lord's, and are sanctified to him.

KJV: And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD’S: it is holy unto the LORD.

Leviticus 27:31

AMP: If a man wishes to redeem any part of his tithe, he shall add one-fifth to it.

ASV: And if a man will redeem aught of his tithe, he shall add unto it the fifth part thereof.

BSB: If a man wishes to redeem part of his tithe, he must add a fifth to its value.

DARBY: And if any one will at all redeem of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth thereof.

DRA: And if any man will redeem his tithes, he shall add the fifth part of them.

KJV: And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof.

Leviticus 27:32

AMP: For every tithe of the herd or flock, whatever passes under the [shepherd’s] staff, the tenth one shall be holy to the Lord. [2 Cor 9:7-9]

ASV: And all the tithe of the herd or the flock, whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto Jehovah.

BSB: Every tenth animal from the herd or flock that passes under the shepherd’s rod will be holy to the LORD.

DARBY: And as to every tithe of the herd, or of the flock, of whatever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy to Jehovah.

DRA: Of all the tithes of oxen, and sheep, and goats, that pass under the shepherd's rod, every tenth that cometh shall be sanctified to the Lord.

KJV: And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD.

Leviticus 27:33

AMP: The man is not to be concerned whether the animal is good or bad, nor shall he exchange it. But if he does exchange it, then both it and its substitute shall become holy; it shall not be redeemed.’ ”

ASV: He shall not search whether it be good or bad, neither shall he change it: and if he change it at all, then both it and that for which it is changed shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.
