Numbers 15:2

Numbers 15:3

AMP: then make an offering by fire to the Lord, a burnt offering or a sacrifice to fulfill a special vow, or as a freewill offering or in your appointed feasts, to make a sweet and soothing aroma to the Lord, from the herd or from the flock.

ASV: and will make an offering by fire unto Jehovah, a burnt-offering, or a sacrifice, to accomplish a vow, or as a freewill-offering, or in your set feasts, to make a sweet savor unto Jehovah, of the herd, or of the flock;

BSB: and you present a food offering to the LORD from the herd or flock to produce a pleasing aroma to the LORD — either a burnt offering or a sacrifice, for a special vow or freewill offering or appointed feast—

Numbers 15:4

AMP: The one who presents his offering shall present to the Lord a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a fourth of a hin of oil,

ASV: then shall he that offereth his oblation offer unto Jehovah a meal-offering of a tenth part [of an ephah] of fine flour mingled with the fourth part of a hin of oil:

BSB: then the one presenting his offering to the LORD shall also present a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a quarter hin of olive oil.

DARBY: then shall he that presenteth his offering to Jehovah bring as oblation a tenth part of fine flour mingled with a fourth part of a hin of oil;

Numbers 15:5

AMP: and you shall prepare wine for the drink offering, a fourth of a hin, with the burnt offering or for the sacrifice, for each lamb.

ASV: and wine for the drink-offering, the fourth part of a hin, shalt thou prepare with the burnt-offering, or for the sacrifice, for each lamb.

BSB: With the burnt offering or sacrifice of each lamb, you are to prepare a quarter hin of wine as a drink offering.

Numbers 15:6

Numbers 15:8

AMP: When you prepare a bull as a burnt offering or as a sacrifice, in fulfilling a special vow or peace offering to the Lord,

Numbers 15:9

Numbers 15:10

Numbers 15:11

AMP: ‘Thus shall it be done for each bull, or for each ram, or for each of the male lambs, or of the goats.

Numbers 15:12

Numbers 15:13

AMP: All who are native-born shall do these things in this way, in presenting an offering by fire, as a sweet and soothing aroma to the Lord.

ASV: All that are home-born shall do these things after this manner, in offering an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto Jehovah.

BSB: Everyone who is native-born shall prepare these things in this way when he presents a food offering as a pleasing aroma to the LORD.

DARBY: And all that are born in the land shall do these things thus, in presenting an offering by fire of a sweet odour to Jehovah.

Numbers 15:14

AMP: If a stranger lives as a resident alien with you, or whoever may be among you throughout your generations, and he wishes to make an offering by fire, as a sweet and soothing aroma to the Lord, just as you do, so shall he do.

ASV: And if a stranger sojourn with you, or whosoever may be among you throughout your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto Jehovah; as ye do, so he shall do.

BSB: And for the generations to come, if a foreigner residing with you or someone else among you wants to prepare a food offering as a pleasing aroma to the LORD, he is to do exactly as you do.

DARBY: And if a stranger sojourn with you, or whoever be among you throughout your generations, and will offer an offering by fire of a sweet odour to Jehovah, as ye do, so shall he do.

DRA: Shall offer sacrifices after the same rite.

Numbers 15:15

AMP: As for the assembly, there shall be one [and the same] statute for you [of the congregation] and for the stranger who is a resident alien with you, a permanent statute throughout your generations; as you are, so shall the stranger be before the Lord.

ASV: For the assembly, there shall be one statute for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth [with you], a statute for ever throughout your generations: as ye are, so shall the sojourner be before Jehovah.

BSB: The assembly is to have the same statute both for you and for the foreign resident; it is a permanent statute for the generations to come. You and the foreigner shall be the same before the LORD.

DARBY: As to the congregation, there shall be one statute for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an everlasting statute throughout your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be, before Jehovah.

DRA: There shall be all one law and judgment both for you and for them who are strangers in the land.

KJV: One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD.

Numbers 15:16

AMP: There is to be one law and one ordinance for you and for the stranger who lives with you as a resident alien.’ ”

ASV: One law and one ordinance shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you.

BSB: The same law and the same ordinance will apply both to you and to the foreigner residing with you.”

Numbers 15:19

AMP: then, when you eat the food of the land, you shall lift up an offering (heave offering) to the Lord.

BSB: and you eat the food of the land, you shall lift up an offering to the LORD.

DARBY: then it shall be, when ye eat of the bread of the land, that ye shall offer a heave-offering to Jehovah;

Numbers 15:20

AMP: You shall lift up a cake made of the first of your [ground grain which has been made into] dough as an offering [to the Lord]; as an offering from the threshing floor, so shall you lift it up.

ASV: Of the first of your dough ye shall offer up a cake for a heave-offering: as the heave-offering of the threshing-floor, so shall ye heave it.

BSB: From the first of your dough, you are to lift up a cake as a contribution; offer it just like an offering from the threshing floor.

DARBY: the first of your dough shall ye offer, a cake, for a heave-offering; as the heave-offering of the threshing-floor, so shall ye offer this.

DRA: Of the things you eat. As you separate firstfruits of your barnfloors:

Numbers 15:21

AMP: From the first of your dough (ground grain) you shall give to the Lord an offering throughout your generations.

ASV: Of the first of your dough ye shall give unto Jehovah a heave-offering throughout your generations.

BSB: Throughout your generations, you are to give the LORD an offering from the first of your dough.

Numbers 15:22

AMP: ‘But when you unintentionally fail and do not observe all these commandments, which the Lord has spoken to Moses,

ASV: And when ye shall err, and not observe all these commandments, which Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses,

BSB: Now if you stray unintentionally and do not obey all these commandments that the LORD has spoken to Moses—

DARBY: And if ye sin inadvertently, and do not all these commandments, which Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses,

DRA: And if through ignorance you omit any of these things, which the Lord hath spoken to Moses,

KJV: And if ye have erred, and not observed all these commandments, which the LORD hath spoken unto Moses,

Numbers 15:23

AMP: even all that the Lord has commanded you through Moses, from the day that the Lord gave commandments and onward throughout your generations,

ASV: even all that Jehovah hath commanded you by Moses, from the day that Jehovah gave commandment, and onward throughout your generations;

BSB: all that the LORD has commanded you through Moses from the day the LORD gave them and continuing through the generations to come—

DARBY: all that Jehovah hath commanded you through Moses, from the day that Jehovah gave commandment, and henceforward throughout your generations;

DRA: And by him hath commanded you, from the day that he began to command and thenceforward,

KJV: Even all that the LORD hath commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day that the LORD commanded Moses, and henceforward among your generations;

Numbers 15:24

AMP: then it shall be, if it was done unintentionally without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bull as a burnt offering, as a sweet and soothing aroma to the Lord, with its grain offering and its drink offering, according to the ordinance, and one male goat as a sin offering.

ASV: then it shall be, if it be done unwittingly, without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt-offering, for a sweet savor unto Jehovah, with the meal-offering thereof, and the drink-offering thereof, according to the ordinance, and one he-goat for a sin-offering.

BSB: and if it was done unintentionally without the knowledge of the congregation, then the whole congregation is to prepare one young bull as a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma to the LORD, with its grain offering and drink offering according to the regulation, and one male goat as a sin offering.

DARBY: then it shall be, if ought be committed by inadvertence [hid] from the eyes of the assembly, that the whole assembly shall offer one young bullock for a burnt-offering, for a sweet odour to Jehovah, and its oblation and its drink-offering according to the ordinance, and one buck of the goats for a sin-offering.

DRA: And the multitude have forgotten to do it: they shall offer a calf out of the herd, a holocaust for a most sweet savour to the Lord, and the sacrifice and libations thereof, as the ceremonies require, and a buck goat for sin:

KJV: Then it shall be, if ought be committed by ignorance without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour unto the LORD, with his meat offering, and his drink offering, according to the manner, and one kid of the goats for a sin offering.

Numbers 15:25

AMP: Then the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and they will be forgiven, for it was an error and they have brought their offering, an offering by fire to the Lord, and their sin offering before the Lord, for their error.

ASV: And the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and they shall be forgiven; for it was an error, and they have brought their oblation, an offering made by fire unto Jehovah, and their sin-offering before Jehovah, for their error:

BSB: The priest is to make atonement for the whole congregation of Israel, so that they may be forgiven; for the sin was unintentional and they have brought to the LORD a food offering and a sin offering, presented before the LORD for their unintentional sin.

DARBY: And the priest shall make atonement for the whole assembly of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it was a sin of inadvertence, and they have brought before Jehovah their offering, as an offering by fire to Jehovah, and their sin-offering for their [sin of] inadvertence;

DRA: And the priest shall pray for all the multitude of the children of Israel: and it shall be forgiven them, because they sinned ignorantly, offering notwithstanding a burnt offering to the Lord for themselves and for their sin and their ignorance:

KJV: And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it is ignorance: and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD, for their ignorance:

Numbers 15:26

AMP: So all the congregation of the Israelites will be forgiven as well as the stranger who lives among them as a resident alien, because all the people were involved in the error.

ASV: and all the congregation of the children of Israel shall be forgiven, and the stranger that sojourneth among them; for in respect of all the people it was done unwittingly.

BSB: Then the whole congregation of Israel and the foreigners residing among them will be forgiven, since it happened to all the people unintentionally.

DARBY: and it shall be forgiven the whole assembly of the children of Israel, and the stranger that sojourneth among them; for with all the people there was [a sin of] inadvertence.

DRA: And it shall be forgiven all the people of the children of Israel: and the strangers that sojourn among them: because it is the fault of all the people through ignorance.

Numbers 15:27

AMP: ‘Also if one person sins unintentionally, then he shall offer a female goat one year old as a sin offering.

ASV: And if one person sin unwittingly, then he shall offer a she-goat a year old for a sin-offering.

BSB: Also, if one person sins unintentionally, he is to present a year-old female goat as a sin offering.

DARBY: And if one soul sin through inadvertence, then he shall present a yearling she-goat for a sin-offering.

DRA: But if one soul shall sin ignorantly, he shall offer a she goat of a year old for his sin.

KJV: And if any soul sin through ignorance, then he shall bring a she goat of the first year for a sin offering.

Numbers 15:28

AMP: The priest shall make atonement before the Lord for the person who commits an error when he sins unintentionally, making atonement for him so that he may be forgiven.

ASV: And the priest shall make atonement for the soul that erreth, when he sinneth unwittingly, before Jehovah, to make atonement for him; and he shall be forgiven.

BSB: And the priest shall make atonement before the LORD on behalf of the person who erred by sinning unintentionally; and when atonement has been made for him, he will be forgiven.

DARBY: And the priest shall make atonement for the soul that hath done inadvertently, when he sinneth by inadvertence before Jehovah, to make atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.

DRA: And the priest shall pray for him, because he sinned ignorantly before the Lord: and he shall obtain his pardon, and it shall be forgiven him.

KJV: And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the LORD, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.

Numbers 15:29

AMP: You shall have one law for him who sins unintentionally, whether he is native-born among the Israelites or a stranger who is living among them as a resident alien.

ASV: Ye shall have one law for him that doeth aught unwittingly, for him that is home-born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.

BSB: You shall have the same law for the one who acts in error, whether he is a native-born Israelite or a foreigner residing among you.

DARBY: For him that is born in the land among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them there shall be one law for you, for him who doeth anything through inadvertence.

DRA: The same law shall be for all that sin by ignorance, whether they be natives or strangers.

KJV: Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.

Numbers 15:30

AMP: But the person who does [anything wrong] willfully and defiantly, whether he is native-born or a stranger, that one is blaspheming the Lord, and that person shall be cut off from among his people [excluding him from the atonement made for them].

ASV: But the soul that doeth aught with a high hand, whether he be home-born or a sojourner, the same blasphemeth Jehovah; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

BSB: But the person who sins defiantly, whether a native or foreigner, blasphemes the LORD. That person shall be cut off from among his people.

DARBY: But the soul that doeth ought with a high hand, whether born in the land, or a stranger, he reproacheth Jehovah; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

DRA: But the soul that committeth any thing through pride, whether he be born in the land or a stranger (because he hath been rebellious against the Lord) shall be cut off from among his people:

KJV: But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

Numbers 15:31

AMP: Because he has despised and rejected the word of the Lord, and has broken His commandment, that person shall be utterly cut off; [the responsibility for] his wickedness and guilt will be upon him.’ ”

ASV: Because he hath despised the word of Jehovah, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.

BSB: He shall certainly be cut off, because he has despised the word of the LORD and broken His commandment; his guilt remains on him.”

DARBY: For he hath despised the word of Jehovah, and hath broken his commandment: that soul shall surely be cut off; his iniquity is upon him.

DRA: For he hath contemned the word the Lord, and made void his precept: therefore shall he be destroyed, and shall bear his iniquity.

KJV: Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.

Numbers 15:32

AMP: Now while the Israelites were in the wilderness, they found a man who was gathering wood on the Sabbath day.

ASV: And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks upon the sabbath day.

BSB: While the Israelites were in the wilderness, a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day.

DARBY: And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness they found a man gathering sticks on the sabbath day.

Numbers 15:33

AMP: Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation;

ASV: and it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of Jehovah, and do them; and that ye follow not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to play the harlot;

BSB: These will serve as tassels for you to look at, so that you may remember all the commandments of the LORD, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by following your own heart and your own eyes.
