Numbers 30:1

AMP: Then Moses spoke to the leaders of the tribes of the Israelites, saying, “This is the thing which the Lord has commanded:

ASV: And Moses spake unto the heads of the tribes of the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which Jehovah hath commanded.

BSB: Then Moses said to the heads of the tribes of Israel, “This is what the LORD has commanded:

Numbers 30:2

AMP: If a man makes a vow to the Lord or swears an oath to bind himself with a pledge [of abstinence], he shall not break (violate, profane) his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.

ASV: When a man voweth a vow unto Jehovah, or sweareth an oath to bind his soul with a bond, he shall not break his word; he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.

BSB: If a man makes a vow to the LORD or swears an oath to obligate himself by a pledge, he must not break his word; he must do everything he has promised.

DARBY: If a man vow a vow to Jehovah, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond, he shall not break his word; according to all that hath gone out of his mouth shall he do.

Numbers 30:3

AMP: “Also if a woman makes a vow to the Lord and binds herself by a pledge [of abstinence], while living in her father’s house in her youth,

ASV: Also when a woman voweth a vow unto Jehovah, and bindeth herself by a bond, being in her father`s house, in her youth,

Numbers 30:4

AMP: and her father hears her vow and her pledge by which she has bound herself, and he offers no objection, then all her vows shall stand and every pledge by which she has bound herself shall stand.

ASV: and her father heareth her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her father holdeth his peace at her; then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand.

BSB: and her father hears about her vow or pledge but says nothing to her, then all the vows or pledges by which she has bound herself shall stand.

Numbers 30:5

AMP: But if her father disapproves of her [making her vow] on the day that he hears about it, none of her vows or her pledges by which she has bound herself shall stand; and the Lord will forgive her because her father has disapproved of her [making the vow].

ASV: But if her father disallow her in the day that he heareth, none of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and Jehovah will forgive her, because her father disallowed her.

BSB: But if her father prohibits her on the day he hears about it, then none of the vows or pledges by which she has bound herself shall stand. The LORD will absolve her because her father has prohibited her.

DARBY: But if her father prohibited her in the day that he heard, none of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand; and Jehovah shall pardon her, because her father prohibited her.

DRA: Whatsoever she promised and swore, she shall fulfil in deed.

KJV: But if her father disallow her in the day that he heareth; not any of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and the LORD shall forgive her, because her father disallowed her.

Numbers 30:6

AMP: “But if she marries while under her vows or if she has bound herself by a rash statement,

ASV: And if she be [married] to a husband, while her vows are upon her, or the rash utterance of her lips, wherewith she hath bound her soul,

BSB: If a woman marries while under a vow or rash promise by which she has bound herself,

DARBY: And if she have a husband, when she hath her vow upon her or ought that hath passed her lips wherewith she hath bound her soul,

DRA: But if her father, immediately as soon as he heard it, gainsaid it, both her vows and her oaths shall be void, neither shall she be bound to what she promised, because her father hath gainsaid it.

KJV: And if she had at all an husband, when she vowed, or uttered ought out of her lips, wherewith she bound her soul;

Numbers 30:7

AMP: and her husband hears of it and says nothing about it on the day he hears it, then her vows shall stand and her pledge by which she bound herself shall stand.

ASV: and her husband hear it, and hold his peace at her in the day that he heareth it; then her vows shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand.

AMP: But if her husband disapproves of her [making her vow or pledge] on the day that he hears of it, then he shall annul her vow which she is under and the rash statement of her lips by which she bound herself; and the Lord will forgive her.

ASV: But if her husband disallow her in the day that he heareth it, then he shall make void her vow which is upon her, and the rash utterance of her lips, wherewith she hath bound her soul: and Jehovah will forgive her.

BSB: But if her husband prohibits her when he hears of it, he nullifies the vow that binds her or the rash promise she has made, and the LORD will absolve her.

DARBY: But if her husband prohibit her on the day that he heareth it, and annul her vow which is upon her, and what hath passed her lips, wherewith she hath bound her soul, then Jehovah shall pardon her.

DRA: The day that her husband shall hear it, and not gainsay it, she shall be bound to the vow, and shall give whatsoever she promised.

KJV: But if her husband disallowed her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make her vow which she vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips, wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect: and the LORD shall forgive her.

Numbers 30:9

AMP: “But the vow of a widow or of a divorced woman, everything by which she has bound herself, shall stand against her.

ASV: But the vow of a widow, or of her that is divorced, [even] everything wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand against her.

BSB: Every vow a widow or divorced woman pledges to fulfill is binding on her.

DARBY: But the vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced, everything wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand against her.

DRA: But if as soon as he heareth he gainsay it, and make her promises and the words wherewith she had bound her soul of no effect : the Lord will forgive her.

Numbers 30:10

AMP: However, if she vowed in her husband’s house or bound herself by a pledge with an oath,

ASV: And if she vowed in her husband`s house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath,

BSB: If a woman in her husband’s house has made a vow or put herself under an obligation with an oath,

DARBY: And if she have vowed in her husband's house, or have bound her soul by an oath with a bond,

DRA: The widow, and she that is divorced, shall fulfil whatsoever they vow.

Numbers 30:12

AMP: But if her husband absolutely annuls them on the day he heard them, then whatever proceeds from her lips concerning her vows or concerning her pledge shall not stand. Her husband has annulled them, and the Lord will forgive her.

ASV: But if her husband made them null and void in the day that he heard them, then whatsoever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void; and Jehovah will forgive her.

BSB: But if her husband nullifies them on the day he hears of them, then nothing that came from her lips, whether her vows or pledges, shall stand. Her husband has nullified them, and the LORD will absolve her.

DARBY: But if her husband have expressly annulled them on the day that he heard them, then nothing of that which is gone out of her lips as to her vows or the bond on her soul, shall stand: her husband hath annulled them; and Jehovah will pardon her.

DRA: If her husband hear, and hold his peace, and doth not disallow the promise, she shall accomplish whatsoever she had promised.

KJV: But if her husband hath utterly made them void on the day he heard them; then whatsoever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void; and the LORD shall forgive her.

Numbers 30:13

AMP: “Every vow and every binding oath to humble herself, her husband may confirm it or her husband may annul it.

ASV: Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.

BSB: Her husband may confirm or nullify any vow or any sworn pledge to deny herself.

DARBY: Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband can establish it, or her husband can annul it.

DRA: But if forthwith he gainsay it, she shall not be bound by the promise: because her husband gainsaid it, and the Lord will be merciful to her.

Numbers 30:14

AMP: But if her husband says nothing to her [concerning the matter] from day to day, then he confirms all her vows or all her pledges which are on her. He has confirmed them because he said nothing to her on the day he heard them.

ASV: But if her husband altogether hold his peace at her from day to day, then he establisheth all her vows, or all her bonds, which are upon her: he hath established them, because he held his peace at her in the day that he heard them.

DRA: If she vow and bind herself by oath, to afflict her soul by fasting, or abstinence from other things, it shall depend on the will of her husband, whether she shall do it, or not do it.

KJV: But if her husband altogether hold his peace at her from day to day; then he establisheth all her vows, or all her bonds, which are upon her: he confirmeth them, because he held his peace at her in the day that he heard them.

Numbers 30:15

AMP: But if he indeed nullifies them after he hears of them, then he shall be responsible for and bear her guilt [for breaking her promise].”

ASV: But if he shall make them null and void after that he hath heard them, then he shall bear her iniquity.

BSB: But if he nullifies them after he hears of them, then he will bear her iniquity.”

DARBY: But if he in any way annul them after he hath heard them, then he shall bear her iniquity.

DRA: But if the husband hearing it hold his peace, and defer the declaring his mind till another day: whatsoever she had vowed and promised, she shall fulfil: because immediately as he heard it, he held his peace.
