Psalms 102:1

ASV: Hear my prayer, O Jehovah, And let my cry come unto thee.

DARBY: {A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed, and poureth out his complaint before Jehovah.} Jehovah, hear my prayer, and let my cry come unto thee.

DRA: The prayer of the poor man, when he was anxious, and poured out his supplication before the Lord.

Psalms 102:2

ASV: Hide not thy face from me in the day of my distress: Incline thine ear unto me; In the day when I call answer me speedily.

DARBY: Hide not thy face from me: in the day of my trouble, incline thine ear unto me; in the day I call, answer me speedily.

DRA: Hear, O Lord, my prayer: and let my cry come to thee.

Psalms 102:3

ASV: For my days consume away like smoke, And my bones are burned as a firebrand.

DARBY: For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as a firebrand.

DRA: Turn not away thy face from me: in the day when I am in trouble, incline thy ear to me. In what day soever I shall call upon thee, hear me speedily.

Psalms 102:4

ASV: My heart is smitten like grass, and withered; For I forget to eat my bread.

DARBY: My heart is smitten and withered like grass; yea, I have forgotten to eat my bread.

DRA: For my days are vanished like smoke: and my bones are grown dry like fuel for the fire.

ASV: By reason of the voice of my groaning My bones cleave to my flesh.

Psalms 102:6

ASV: I am like a pelican of the wilderness; I am become as an owl of the waste places.

Psalms 102:7

ASV: I watch, and am become like a sparrow That is alone upon the house-top.

Psalms 102:8

ASV: Mine enemies reproach me all the day; They that are mad against me do curse by me.

ASV: My days are like a shadow that declineth; And I am withered like grass.

Psalms 102:12

ASV: But thou, O Jehovah, wilt abide for ever; And thy memorial [name] unto all generations.

DARBY: But thou, Jehovah, abidest for ever, and thy memorial from generation to generation.

DRA: My days have declined like a shadow, and I am withered like grass.

Psalms 102:13

ASV: Thou wilt arise, and have mercy upon Zion; For it is time to have pity upon her, Yea, the set time is come.

DARBY: *Thou* wilt rise up, thou wilt have mercy upon Zion: for it is the time to be gracious to her, for the set time is come.

DRA: But thou, O Lord, endurest for ever: and thy memorial to all generations.

Psalms 102:14

ASV: For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, And have pity upon her dust.

DARBY: For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour her dust.

DRA: Thou shalt arise and have mercy on Sion: for it is time to have mercy on it, for the time is come.

Psalms 102:15

ASV: So the nations shall fear the name of Jehovah, And all the kings of the earth thy glory.

DARBY: And the nations shall fear the name of Jehovah, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.

DRA: For the stones thereof have pleased thy servants: and they shall have pity on the earth thereof.

ASV: For Jehovah hath built up Zion; He hath appeared in his glory.

Psalms 102:17

ASV: He hath regarded the prayer of the destitute, And hath not despised their prayer.

Psalms 102:18

ASV: This shall be written for the generation to come; And a people which shall be created shall praise Jehovah.

ASV: For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; From heaven did Jehovah behold the earth;

ASV: To hear the sighing of the prisoner; To loose those that are appointed to death;

Psalms 102:21

ASV: That men may declare the name of Jehovah in Zion, And his praise in Jerusalem;

Psalms 102:22

ASV: When the peoples are gathered together, And the kingdoms, to serve Jehovah.

DARBY: When the peoples shall be gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve Jehovah.

DRA: That they may declare the name of the Lord in Sion: and his praise in Jerusalem;

Psalms 102:23

ASV: He weakened my strength in the way; He shortened my days.

DARBY: He weakened my strength in the way, he shortened my days.

DRA: When the people assemble together, and kings, to serve the Lord.

Psalms 102:24

ASV: I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: Thy years are throughout all generations.

DRA: He answered him in the way of his strength: Declare unto me the fewness of my days.

Psalms 102:25

ASV: Of old didst thou lay the foundation of the earth; And the heavens are the work of thy hands.

DARBY: Of old hast thou founded the earth, and the heavens are the work of thy hands:

DRA: Call me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are unto generation and generation.

Psalms 102:26

ASV: They shall perish, but thou shalt endure; Yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; As a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
