Psalms 11:1

ASV: In Jehovah do I take refuge: How say ye to my soul, Flee [as] a bird to your mountain;

DARBY: {To the chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David.} In Jehovah have I put my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee [as] a bird to your mountain?

DRA: Unto the end. A psalm for David.

KJV: In the LORD put I my trust: How say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?

Psalms 11:2

ASV: For, lo, the wicked bend the bow, They make ready their arrow upon the string, That they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart;

DARBY: For behold, the wicked bend the bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may in darkness shoot at the upright in heart.

DRA: Whilst the wicked man is proud, the poor is set on fire: they are caught in the counsels which they devise.

KJV: For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.

Psalms 11:3

ASV: If the foundations be destroyed, What can the righteous do?

DARBY: If the foundations be destroyed, what shall the righteous do?

Psalms 11:4

ASV: Jehovah is in his holy temple; Jehovah, his throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

DARBY: Jehovah [is] in the temple of his holiness; Jehovah, his throne is in the heavens: his eyes behold, his eyelids try the children of men.

DRA: In the Lord I put my trust: how then do you say to my soul: Get thee away from hence to the mountain like a sparrow?

KJV: The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

Psalms 11:5

ASV: Jehovah trieth the righteous; But the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

DARBY: Jehovah trieth the righteous one; but the wicked, and him that loveth violence, his soul hateth.

DRA: For the sinner is praised in the desires of his soul: and the unjust man is blessed.

KJV: The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

Psalms 11:6

ASV: Upon the wicked he will rain snares; Fire and brimstone and burning wind shall be the portion of their cup.

DARBY: Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone; and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.

KJV: Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.

Psalms 11:7

ASV: For Jehovah is righteous; he loveth righteousness: The upright shall behold his face. Psalm 12 For the Chief Musician; set to the Sheminith. A Psalm of David.

DARBY: For righteous is Jehovah; he loveth righteousness, his countenance doth behold the upright.

DRA: For, lo, the wicked have bent their bow; they have prepared their arrows in the quiver; to shoot in the dark the upright of heart.

KJV: For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

Psalms 11:8

DRA: The sinner hath provoked the Lord according to the multitude of his wrath he will not seek him:

Psalms 11:10

DRA: For they have destroyed the things which thou hast made: but what has the just man done?

Psalms 11:11

DRA: God is not before his eyes: his ways are filthy at all times. Thy judgments are removed from his sight: he shall rule over all his enemies.

Psalms 11:13

DRA: The Lord is in his holy temple, the Lord's throne is in heaven. His eyes look on the poor man: his eyelids examine the sons of men.

Psalms 11:14

DRA: For he hath said in his heart: I shall not be moved from generation to generation, and shall be without evil.

Psalms 11:16

DRA: The Lord trieth the just and the wicked: but he that loveth iniquity hateth his own soul.

Psalms 11:17

DRA: His mouth is full of cursing, and of bitterness, and of deceit: under his tongue are labour and sorrow.

Psalms 11:19

DRA: He shall rain snares upon sinners: fire and brimstone and storms of winds shall be the portion of their cup.

Psalms 11:20

DRA: He sitteth in ambush with the rich in private places, that he may kill the innocent.

Psalms 11:22

DRA: For the Lord is just, and hath loved justice: his countenance hath beheld righteousness.

Psalms 11:23

DRA: His eyes are upon the poor man: He lieth in wait in secret like a lion in his den. He lieth in ambush that he may catch the poor man: to catch the poor, whilst he draweth him to him.

Psalms 11:24

DRA: In his net he will bring him down, he will crouch and fall, when he shall have power over the poor.

Psalms 11:25

DRA: For he hath said in his heart: God hath forgotten, he hath turned away his face not to see to the end.

Psalms 11:26

DRA: Arise, O Lord God, let thy hand be exalted: forget not the poor.

Psalms 11:27

DRA: Wherefore hath the wicked provoked God? for he hath said in his heart: He will not require it.

Psalms 11:28

DRA: Thou seest it, for thou considerest labour and sorrow: that thou mayst deliver them into thy hands. To thee is the poor man left: thou wilt be a helper to the orphan.

Psalms 11:29

DRA: Break thou the arm of the sinner and of the malignant: his sin shall be sought, and shall not be found.

Psalms 11:30

DRA: The Lord shall reign to eternity, yea, for ever and ever: ye Gentiles shall perish from his land.

Psalms 11:31

DRA: The Lord hath heard the desire of the poor: thy ear hath heard the preparation of their heart.

Psalms 11:32

DRA: To judge for the fatherless and for the humble, that man may no more presume to magnify himself upon earth.
