Psalms 11:1

AMP: In the Lord I take refuge [and put my trust];How can you say to me, “Flee like a bird to your mountain;

ASV: In Jehovah do I take refuge: How say ye to my soul, Flee [as] a bird to your mountain;

BSB: In the LORD I take refuge.How then can you say to me:“Flee like a bird to your mountain!

Psalms 11:2

AMP: For look, the wicked are bending the bow;They take aim with their arrow on the stringTo shoot [by stealth] in darkness at the upright in heart.

ASV: For, lo, the wicked bend the bow, They make ready their arrow upon the string, That they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart;

BSB: For behold, the wicked bend their bows.They set their arrow on the stringto shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.

DARBY: For behold, the wicked bend the bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may in darkness shoot at the upright in heart.

DRA: Whilst the wicked man is proud, the poor is set on fire: they are caught in the counsels which they devise.

Psalms 11:3

AMP: “If the foundations [of a godly society] are destroyed,What can the righteous do?”

ASV: If the foundations be destroyed, What can the righteous do?

Psalms 11:4

AMP: ¶The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord’s throne is in heaven.His eyes see, His eyelids test the children of men. [Acts 7:49; Rev 4:2]

ASV: Jehovah is in his holy temple; Jehovah, his throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

BSB: The LORD is in His holy temple;the LORD is on His heavenly throne.His eyes are watching closely;they examine the sons of men.

DARBY: Jehovah [is] in the temple of his holiness; Jehovah, his throne is in the heavens: his eyes behold, his eyelids try the children of men.

Psalms 11:5

AMP: The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked,And His soul hates the [malevolent] one who loves violence. [James 1:12]

ASV: Jehovah trieth the righteous; But the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

BSB: The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked;His soul hates the lover of violence.

DARBY: Jehovah trieth the righteous one; but the wicked, and him that loveth violence, his soul hateth.

Psalms 11:6

AMP: Upon the wicked (godless) He will rain coals of fire;Fire and brimstone and a dreadful scorching wind will be the portion of their cup [of doom].

ASV: Upon the wicked he will rain snares; Fire and brimstone and burning wind shall be the portion of their cup.

BSB: On the wicked He will rain down fiery coals and sulfur;a scorching wind will be their portion.

DARBY: Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone; and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.

Psalms 11:7

AMP: For the Lord is [absolutely] righteous, He loves righteousness (virtue, morality, justice);The upright shall see His face.

ASV: For Jehovah is righteous; he loveth righteousness: The upright shall behold his face. Psalm 12 For the Chief Musician; set to the Sheminith. A Psalm of David.

BSB: For the LORD is righteous; He loves justice.The upright will see His face.

Psalms 11:8

DRA: The sinner hath provoked the Lord according to the multitude of his wrath he will not seek him:

Psalms 11:10

DRA: For they have destroyed the things which thou hast made: but what has the just man done?

Psalms 11:11

DRA: God is not before his eyes: his ways are filthy at all times. Thy judgments are removed from his sight: he shall rule over all his enemies.

Psalms 11:13

DRA: The Lord is in his holy temple, the Lord's throne is in heaven. His eyes look on the poor man: his eyelids examine the sons of men.

Psalms 11:14

DRA: For he hath said in his heart: I shall not be moved from generation to generation, and shall be without evil.

Psalms 11:16

DRA: The Lord trieth the just and the wicked: but he that loveth iniquity hateth his own soul.

Psalms 11:17

DRA: His mouth is full of cursing, and of bitterness, and of deceit: under his tongue are labour and sorrow.

Psalms 11:19

DRA: He shall rain snares upon sinners: fire and brimstone and storms of winds shall be the portion of their cup.

Psalms 11:20

DRA: He sitteth in ambush with the rich in private places, that he may kill the innocent.

Psalms 11:22

DRA: For the Lord is just, and hath loved justice: his countenance hath beheld righteousness.

Psalms 11:23

DRA: His eyes are upon the poor man: He lieth in wait in secret like a lion in his den. He lieth in ambush that he may catch the poor man: to catch the poor, whilst he draweth him to him.

Psalms 11:24

DRA: In his net he will bring him down, he will crouch and fall, when he shall have power over the poor.

Psalms 11:25

DRA: For he hath said in his heart: God hath forgotten, he hath turned away his face not to see to the end.

Psalms 11:26

DRA: Arise, O Lord God, let thy hand be exalted: forget not the poor.

Psalms 11:27

DRA: Wherefore hath the wicked provoked God? for he hath said in his heart: He will not require it.

Psalms 11:28

DRA: Thou seest it, for thou considerest labour and sorrow: that thou mayst deliver them into thy hands. To thee is the poor man left: thou wilt be a helper to the orphan.

Psalms 11:29

DRA: Break thou the arm of the sinner and of the malignant: his sin shall be sought, and shall not be found.

Psalms 11:30

DRA: The Lord shall reign to eternity, yea, for ever and ever: ye Gentiles shall perish from his land.

Psalms 11:31

DRA: The Lord hath heard the desire of the poor: thy ear hath heard the preparation of their heart.

Psalms 11:32

DRA: To judge for the fatherless and for the humble, that man may no more presume to magnify himself upon earth.
