Psalms 12:1

ASV: Help, Jehovah; for the godly man ceaseth; For the faithful fail from among the children of men.

DARBY: {To the chief Musician. Upon Sheminith. A Psalm of David.} Save, Jehovah, for the godly man is gone; for the faithful have failed from among the children of men.

Psalms 12:2

ASV: They speak falsehood every one with his neighbor: With flattering lip, and with a double heart, do they speak.

Psalms 12:3

ASV: Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips, The tongue that speaketh great things;

ASV: Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; Our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

Psalms 12:5

ASV: Because of the oppression of the poor, because of the sighing of the needy, Now will I arise, saith Jehovah; I will set him in the safety he panteth for.

Psalms 12:6

ASV: The words of Jehovah are pure words; As silver tried in a furnace on the earth, Purified seven times.

DRA: By reason of the misery of the needy, and the groans of the poor, now will I arise, saith the Lord. I win set him in safety; I will deal confidently in his regard.

Psalms 12:7

ASV: Thou wilt keep them, O Jehovah, Thou wilt preserve them from this generation for ever.
