Psalms 125:1

AMP: Those who trust in and rely on the Lord [with confident expectation]Are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but remains forever.

ASV: They that trust in Jehovah Are as mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abideth for ever.

BSB: Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion.It cannot be moved; it abides forever.

DRA: If it had not been that the Lord was with us, let Israel now say:

KJV: They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.

Psalms 125:2

AMP: As the mountains surround Jerusalem,So the Lord surrounds His peopleFrom this time forth and forever.

ASV: As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, So Jehovah is round about his people From this time forth and for evermore.

BSB: As the mountains surround Jerusalem,so the LORD surrounds His people,both now and forevermore.

DARBY: Jerusalem! mountains are round about her, and Jehovah is round about his people, from henceforth and for evermore.

Psalms 125:3

AMP: For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land of the righteous,So that the righteous will not reach out their hands to do wrong.

ASV: For the sceptre of wickedness shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; That the righteous put not forth their hands unto iniquity.

BSB: For the scepter of the wicked will not restupon the land allotted to the righteous,so that the righteous will not put forththeir hands to injustice.

DRA: perhaps they had swallowed us up alive. When their fury was enkindled against us,

KJV: For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.

Psalms 125:4

AMP: ¶Do good, O Lord, to those who are goodAnd to those who are upright in their hearts.

ASV: Do good, O Jehovah, unto those that are good, And to them that are upright in their hearts.

BSB: Do good, O LORD, to those who are good,and to the upright in heart.

DARBY: Do good, O Jehovah, unto the good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.

DRA: perhaps the waters had swallowed us up.

Psalms 125:5

AMP: But as for those who turn aside to their crooked ways [in unresponsiveness to God],The Lord will lead them away with those who do evil.Peace be upon Israel.

ASV: But as for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, Jehovah will lead them forth with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel. Psalm 126 A Song of Ascents.

Psalms 125:6

DRA: Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us to be a prey to their teeth.

Psalms 125:7

DRA: Our soul hath been delivered as a sparrow out of the snare of the followers. The snare is broken, and we are delivered.

Psalms 125:8

DRA: Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
