Psalms 138:1

ASV: I will give thee thanks with my whole heart: Before the gods will I sing praises unto thee.

DARBY: {[A Psalm] of David.} I will give thee thanks with my whole heart; before the gods will I sing psalms of thee.

Psalms 138:2

ASV: I will worship toward thy holy temple, And give thanks unto thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: For thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

Psalms 138:3

Psalms 138:4

ASV: All the kings of the earth shall give thee thanks, O Jehovah, For they have heard the words of thy mouth.

DARBY: All the kings of the earth shall celebrate thee, Jehovah, when they have heard the words of thy mouth;

DRA: How shall we sing the song of the Lord in a strange land?

KJV: All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.

Psalms 138:5

ASV: Yea, they shall sing of the ways of Jehovah; For great is the glory of Jehovah.

DARBY: And they shall sing in the ways of Jehovah, for great is the glory of Jehovah.

DRA: If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand be forgotten.

KJV: Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.

Psalms 138:6

ASV: For though Jehovah is high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly; But the haughty he knoweth from afar.

DARBY: For Jehovah is high; but he looketh upon the lowly, and the proud he knoweth afar off.

DRA: Let my tongue cleave to my jaws, if I do not remember thee: If I make not Jerusalem the beginning of my joy.

KJV: Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.

Psalms 138:7

ASV: Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me; Thou wilt stretch forth thy hand against the wrath of mine enemies, And thy right hand will save me.

Psalms 138:8

ASV: Jehovah will perfect that which concerneth me: Thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, [endureth] for ever; Forsake not the works of thine own hands. Psalm 139 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.

DRA: O daughter of Babylon, miserable: blessed shall he be who shall repay thee thy payment which thou hast paid us.

Psalms 138:9
