Psalms 139:1

AMP: O Lord, you have searched me [thoroughly] and have known me.

ASV: O Jehovah, thou hast searched me, and known [me].

BSB: O LORD, You have searched meand known me.

DARBY: {To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David.} Jehovah, thou hast searched me, and known [me].

DRA: I will praise thee, O lord, with my whole heart: for thou hast heard the words of my mouth. I will sing praise to thee in the sight of his angels:

Psalms 139:2

AMP: You know when I sit down and when I rise up [my entire life, everything I do];You understand my thought from afar. [Matt 9:4; John 2:24, 25]

ASV: Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising; Thou understandest my thought afar off.

Psalms 139:3

AMP: You scrutinize my path and my lying down,And You are intimately acquainted with all my ways.

ASV: Thou searchest out my path and my lying down, And art acquainted with all my ways.

Psalms 139:4

Psalms 139:5

AMP: You have enclosed me behind and before,And [You have] placed Your hand upon me.

Psalms 139:6

AMP: Such [infinite] knowledge is too wonderful for me;It is too high [above me], I cannot reach it.

AMP: ¶Where can I go from Your Spirit?Or where can I flee from Your presence?

Psalms 139:8

AMP: If I ascend to heaven, You are there;If I make my bed in Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead), behold, You are there. [Rom 11:33]

AMP: Even there Your hand will lead me,And Your right hand will take hold of me.

Psalms 139:12

AMP: Even the darkness is not dark to You and conceals nothing from You,But the night shines as bright as the day;Darkness and light are alike to You. [Dan 2:22]

Psalms 139:13

AMP: ¶For You formed my innermost parts;You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb.

Psalms 139:14

AMP: I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;Wonderful are Your works,And my soul knows it very well.

ASV: I will give thanks unto thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Wonderful are thy works; And that my soul knoweth right well.

Psalms 139:15

AMP: My frame was not hidden from You,When I was being formed in secret,And intricately and skillfully formed [as if embroidered with many colors] in the depths of the earth.

ASV: My frame was not hidden from thee, When I was made in secret, [And] curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Psalms 139:16

AMP: Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;And in Your book were all writtenThe days that were appointed for me,When as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape].

ASV: Thine eyes did see mine unformed substance; And in thy book they were all written, [Even] the days that were ordained [for me], When as yet there was none of them.

Psalms 139:18

AMP: If I could count them, they would outnumber the sand.When I awake, I am still with You.

Psalms 139:21

AMP: Do I not hate those who hate You, O Lord?And do I not loathe those who rise up against You?
