Psalms 14:1

ASV: The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works; There is none that doeth good.

DARBY: {To the chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David.} The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They have corrupted themselves, they have done abominable works: there is none that doeth good.

Psalms 14:2

ASV: Jehovah looked down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there were any that did understand, That did seek after God.

Psalms 14:3

ASV: They are all gone aside; they are together become filthy; There is none that doeth good, no, not one.

DARBY: They have all gone aside, they are together become corrupt: there is none that doeth good, not even one.

DRA: They are all gone aside, they are become unprofitable together: there is none that doth good, no not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre: with their tongues they acted deceitfully; the poison of asps is under their lips. Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness; their feet are swift to shed blood. Destruction and unhappiness in their ways: and the way of peace they have not known: there is no fear of God before their eyes.

Psalms 14:4

ASV: Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people [as] they eat bread, And call not upon Jehovah?

DARBY: Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, eating up my people [as] they eat bread? They call not upon Jehovah.

DRA: Shall not all they know that work iniquity, who devour my people as they eat bread ?

KJV: Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.

Psalms 14:5

ASV: There were they in great fear; For God is in the generation of the righteous.

DARBY: There were they in great fear; for God is in the generation of the righteous.

DRA: They have not called upon the Lord: there have they trembled for fear, where there was no fear.

KJV: There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.

Psalms 14:6

ASV: Ye put to shame the counsel of the poor, Because Jehovah is his refuge.

DARBY: Ye have shamed the counsel of the afflicted, because Jehovah [was] his refuge.

DRA: For the Lord is in the just generation: you have confounded the counsel of the poor man, but the Lord is his hope.

KJV: Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.

Psalms 14:7

ASV: Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When Jehovah bringeth back the captivity of his people, Then shall Jacob rejoice, [and] Israel shall be glad. Psalm 15 A Psalm of David.

DARBY: Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When Jehovah turneth again the captivity of his people, Jacob shall be glad, Israel shall rejoice.

DRA: Who shall give out of Sion the salvation of Israel? when the Lord shall have turned away the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice and Israel shall be glad.

KJV: Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
