Psalms 141:1

ASV: Jehovah, I have called upon thee; make haste unto me: Give ear unto my voice, when I call unto thee.

Psalms 141:2

ASV: Let my prayer be set forth as incense before thee; The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

Psalms 141:3

ASV: Set a watch, O Jehovah, before my mouth; Keep the door of my lips.

Psalms 141:4

ASV: Incline not my heart to any evil thing, To practise deeds of wickedness With men that work iniquity: And let me not eat of their dainties.

DARBY: Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise deeds of wickedness with men that are workers of iniquity; and let me not eat of their dainties.

DRA: They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent: the venom of saps is under their lips.

Psalms 141:5

ASV: Let the righteous smite me, [it shall be] a kindness; And let him reprove me, [it shall be as] oil upon the head; Let not my head refuse it: For even in their wickedness shall my prayer continue.

DARBY: Let the righteous smite me, it is kindness; and let him reprove me, it is an excellent oil which my head shall not refuse: for yet my prayer also is [for them] in their calamities.

DRA: Keep me, O Lord, from the hand of the wicked: and from unjust men deliver me. Who have proposed to supplant my steps.

KJV: Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.

Psalms 141:6

ASV: Their judges are thrown down by the sides of the rock; And they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.

DARBY: When their judges are thrown down from the rocks, they shall hear my words, for they are sweet.

DRA: the proud have hidden a net for me. And they have stretched out cords for a snare: they have laid for me a stumblingblock by the wayside.

KJV: When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.

Psalms 141:7

ASV: As when one ploweth and cleaveth the earth, Our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol.

DARBY: Our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol, as when one cutteth and cleaveth [wood] upon the earth.

DRA: I said to the Lord: Thou art my God: hear, O Lord, the voice of my supplication.

KJV: Our bones are scattered at the grave’s mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth.

Psalms 141:8

ASV: For mine eyes are unto thee, O Jehovah the Lord: In thee do I take refuge; leave not my soul destitute.

DARBY: For unto thee, Jehovah, Lord, are mine eyes; in thee do I trust: leave not my soul destitute.

DRA: O Lord, Lord, the strength of my salvation: thou hast overshadowed my head in the day of battle.

KJV: But mine eyes are unto thee, O GOD the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

Psalms 141:9

ASV: Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me, And from the gins of the workers of iniquity.

DARBY: Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me, and from the traps of the workers of iniquity.

DRA: Give me not up, O Lord, from my desire to the wicked: they have plotted against me; do not thou forsake me, lest they should triumph.

KJV: Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.

Psalms 141:10

ASV: Let the wicked fall into their own nets, Whilst that I withal escape. Psalm 142 Maschil of David, when he was in the cave; a Prayer.

DARBY: Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that *I* withal pass over.

DRA: The head of them compassing me about: the labour of their lips shall overwhelm them.

Psalms 141:11

DRA: Burning coals shall fall upon them; thou wilt cast them down into the fire: in miseries they shall not be able to stand.

Psalms 141:12

DRA: A man full of tongue shall not be established in the earth: evil shall catch the unjust man unto destruction.

Psalms 141:13

DRA: I know that the Lord will do justice to the needy, and will revenge the poor.

Psalms 141:14

DRA: But as for the just, they shall give glory to thy name: and the upright shall dwell with thy countenance.
