Psalms 144:1

ASV: Blessed be Jehovah my rock, Who teacheth my hands to war, [And] my fingers to fight:

DRA: Hear, O Lord, my prayer: give ear to my supplication in thy truth: hear me in thy justice.

Psalms 144:2

ASV: My lovingkindness, and my fortress, My high tower, and my deliverer; My shield, and he in whom I take refuge; Who subdueth my people under me.

DRA: And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight no man living shall be justified.

Psalms 144:3

ASV: Jehovah, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him? Or the son of man, that thou makest account of him?

DRA: For the enemy hath persecuted my soul: he hath brought down my life to the earth. He hath made me to dwell in darkness as those that have been dead of old:

Psalms 144:4

ASV: Man is like to vanity: His days are as a shadow that passeth away.

ASV: Bow thy heavens, O Jehovah, and come down: Touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.

Psalms 144:6

ASV: Cast forth lightning, and scatter them; Send out thine arrows, and discomfit them.

Psalms 144:7

ASV: Stretch forth thy hand from above; Rescue me, and deliver me out of great waters, Out of the hand of aliens;

Psalms 144:8

ASV: Whose mouth speaketh deceit, And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

DRA: Cause me to hear thy mercy in the morning; for in thee have I hoped. Make the way known to me, wherein I should walk: for I have lifted up my soul to thee.

Psalms 144:9

ASV: I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: Upon a psaltery of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.

DRA: Deliver me from my enemies, O Lord, to thee have I fled:

Psalms 144:10

ASV: Thou art he that giveth salvation unto kings; Who rescueth David his servant from the hurtful sword.

DARBY: Who givest salvation unto kings; who rescuest David thy servant from the hurtful sword.

DRA: teach me to do thy will, for thou art my God. Thy good spirit shall lead me into the right land:

KJV: It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword.

Psalms 144:11

ASV: Rescue me, and deliver me out of the hand of aliens, Whose mouth speaketh deceit, And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

DARBY: Rescue me, and deliver me from the hand of aliens, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

DRA: for thy name's sake, O Lord, thou wilt quicken me in thy justice. Thou wilt bring my soul out of trouble:

Psalms 144:12

ASV: When our sons shall be as plants grown up in their youth, And our daughters as corner-stones hewn after the fashion of a palace;

DARBY: That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; our daughters as corner-columns, sculptured after the fashion of a palace:

DRA: and in thy mercy thou wilt destroy my enemies. And thou wilt cut off all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.

Psalms 144:13

ASV: [When] our garners are full, affording all manner of store, [And] our sheep bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our fields;

DARBY: Our granaries full, affording all manner of store; our sheep bringing forth thousands, ten thousands in our pastures;

KJV: That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets:

Psalms 144:14

ASV: [When] our oxen are well laden; [When there is] no breaking in, and no going forth, And no outcry in our streets:

DARBY: Our kine laden [with young]; no breaking in and no going forth, and no outcry in our streets.

KJV: That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.

Psalms 144:15

ASV: Happy is the people that is in such a case; [Yea], happy is the people whose God is Jehovah. Psalm 145 [A] [Psalm] [of] praise; of David.

DARBY: Blessed the people that is in such a case! Blessed the people whose God is Jehovah!
