Psalms 17:1

ASV: Hear the right, O Jehovah, attend unto my cry; Give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips.

DARBY: {A Prayer of David.} Hear the right, O Jehovah, attend unto my cry; give ear unto my prayer, which is not out of feigned lips.

DRA: The prayer of David. Hear, O Lord, my justice: attend to my supplication. Give ear unto my prayer, which proceedeth not from deceitful lips.

Psalms 17:2

ASV: Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; Let thine eyes look upon equity.

DARBY: Let my judgment come forth from thy presence, let thine eyes regard equity.

Psalms 17:3

ASV: Thou hast proved my heart; thou hast visited me in the night; Thou hast tried me, and findest nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.

DARBY: Thou hast proved my heart, thou hast visited me by night; thou hast tried me, thou hast found nothing: my thought goeth not beyond my word.

DRA: Thou hast proved my heart, and visited it by night, thou hast tried me by fire: and iniquity hath not been found in me.

Psalms 17:4

ASV: As for the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the ways of the violent.

DARBY: Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept from the paths of the violent [man].

DRA: That my mouth may not speak the works of men: for the sake of the words of thy lips, I have kept hard ways.

ASV: My steps have held fast to thy paths, My feet have not slipped.

Psalms 17:14

ASV: From men by thy hand, O Jehovah, From men of the world, whose portion is in [this] life, And whose belly thou fillest with thy treasure: They are satisfied with children, And leave the rest of their substance to their babes.

DARBY: From men [who are] thy hand, O Jehovah, from men of this age: their portion is in [this] life, and their belly thou fillest with thy hid [treasure]; they have their fill of sons, and leave the rest of their [substance] to their children.

DRA: from the enemies of thy hand. O Lord, divide them from the few of the earth in their life: their belly is filled from thy hidden stores. They are full of children: and they have left to their little ones the rest of their substance.

ASV: As for me, I shall behold thy face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with [beholding] thy form. Psalm 18 For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David the servant of Jehovah, who spake unto Jehovah the words of this song in the day that Jehovah delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: and he said,

DARBY: As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.

DRA: But as for me, I will appear before thy sight in justice: I shall be satisfied when thy glory shall appear.
