Psalms 22:1

ASV: My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? [Why art thou so] far from helping me, [and from] the words of my groaning?

DARBY: {To the chief Musician. Upon Aijeleth-Shahar. A Psalm of David.} My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? [why art thou] far from my salvation, from the words of my groaning?

DRA: Unto the end, for the morning protection, a psalm for David.

Psalms 22:2

ASV: O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou answerest not; And in the night season, and am not silent.

DARBY: My God, I cry by day, and thou answerest not; and by night, and there is no rest for me:

DRA: O God my God, look upon me: why hast thou forsaken me? Far from my salvation are the words of my sins.

ASV: But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

DRA: O my God, I shall cry by day, and thou wilt not hear: and by night, and it shall not be reputed as folly in me.

ASV: Our fathers trusted in thee: They trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

ASV: They cried unto thee, and were delivered: They trusted in thee, and were not put to shame.

Psalms 22:8

ASV: Commit [thyself] unto Jehovah; Let him deliver him: Let him rescue him, seeing he delighteth in him.

DRA: All they that saw me have laughed me to scorn: they have spoken with the lips, and wagged the head.

Psalms 22:9

ASV: But thou art he that took me out of the womb; Thou didst make me trust [when I was] upon my mother`s breasts.

DRA: He hoped in the Lord, let him deliver him: let him save him, seeing he delighteth in him.

ASV: I was cast upon thee from the womb; Thou art my God since my mother bare me.

ASV: Be not far from me; for trouble is near; For there is none to help.

ASV: Many bulls have compassed me; Strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

DRA: depart not from me. For tribulation is very near: for there is none to help me.

ASV: They gape upon me with their mouth, [As] a ravening and a roaring lion.

ASV: I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint: My heart is like wax; It is melted within me.

DRA: They have opened their mouths against me, as a lion ravening and roaring.

ASV: My strength is dried up like a potsherd; And my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; And thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

DRA: I am poured out like water; and all my bones are scattered. My heart is become like wax melting in the midst of my bowels.

Psalms 22:16

ASV: For dogs have compassed me: A company of evil-doers have inclosed me; They pierced my hands and my feet.

DARBY: For dogs have encompassed me; an assembly of evil-doers have surrounded me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

DRA: My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue hath cleaved to my jaws: and thou hast brought me down into the dust of death.

ASV: I may count all my bones; They look and stare upon me.

ASV: Deliver my soul from the sword, My darling from the power of the dog.

ASV: Save me from the lion`s mouth; Yea, from the horns of the wild-oxen thou hast answered me.

ASV: I will declare thy name unto my brethren: In the midst of the assembly will I praise thee.

ASV: For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Neither hath he hid his face from him; But when he cried unto him, he heard.

ASV: Of thee cometh my praise in the great assembly: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

ASV: The meek shall eat and be satisfied; They shall praise Jehovah that seek after him: Let your heart live for ever.

ASV: All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn unto Jehovah; And all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

DRA: The poor shall eat and shall be filled: and they shall praise the Lord that seek him: their hearts shall live for ever and ever.

Psalms 22:28

ASV: For the kingdom is Jehovah`s; And he is the ruler over the nations.

DRA: All the ends of the earth shall remember, and shall be converted to the Lord: And all the kindreds of the Gentiles shall adore in his sight.

Psalms 22:29

ASV: All the fat ones of the earth shall eat and worship: All they that go down to the dust shall bow before him, Even he that cannot keep his soul alive.

Psalms 22:30

ASV: A seed shall serve him; It shall be told of the Lord unto the [next] generation.
