Psalms 32:1

ASV: Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered.

DARBY: {Of David. Instruction.} Blessed is he [whose] transgression is forgiven, [whose] sin is covered!

DRA: To David himself, understanding. Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

Psalms 32:2

ASV: Blessed is the man unto whom Jehovah imputeth not iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no guile.

DARBY: Blessed is the man unto whom Jehovah reckoneth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile!

DRA: Blessed is the man to whom the Lord hath not imputed sin, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

Psalms 32:3

ASV: When I kept silence, my bones wasted away Through my groaning all the day long.

Psalms 32:4

ASV: For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: My moisture was changed [as] with the drought of summer. Selah

DARBY: For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me; my moisture was turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

DRA: For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: I am turned in my anguish, whilst the thorn is fastened.

Psalms 32:5

ASV: I acknowledged my sin unto thee, And mine iniquity did I not hide: I said, I will confess my transgressions unto Jehovah; And thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah

DARBY: I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity I covered not; I said, I will confess my transgressions unto Jehovah, and *thou* forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

DRA: I have acknowledged my sin to thee, and my injustice I have not concealed. I said I will confess against myself my injustice to the Lord: and thou hast forgiven the wickedness of my sin.

Psalms 32:6

ASV: For this let every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: Surely when the great waters overflow they shall not reach unto him.

DARBY: For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee at a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they will not reach him.

DRA: For this shall every one that is holy pray to thee in a seasonable time. And yet in a flood of many waters, they shall not come nigh unto him.

Psalms 32:7

ASV: Thou art my hiding-place; thou wilt preserve me from trouble; Thou wilt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah

DRA: Thou art my refuge from the trouble which hath encompassed me: my joy, deliver me from them that surround me.

Psalms 32:8

ASV: I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will counsel thee with mine eye upon thee.

DARBY: I will instruct thee and teach thee the way in which thou shalt go; I will counsel [thee] with mine eye upon thee.

DRA: I will give thee understanding, and I will instruct thee in this way, in which thou shalt go: I will fix my eyes upon thee.

KJV: I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Psalms 32:9

ASV: Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding; Whose trappings must be bit and bridle to hold them in, [Else] they will not come near unto thee.

DARBY: Be ye not as a horse, as a mule, which have no understanding: whose trappings must be bit and bridle, for restraint, or they will not come unto thee.

DRA: Do not become like the horse and the mule, who have no understanding. With bit and bridle bind fast their jaws, who come not near unto thee.

KJV: Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.

Psalms 32:10

ASV: Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; But he that trusteth in Jehovah, lovingkindness shall compass him about.

DARBY: Many sorrows hath the wicked; but he that confideth in Jehovah, loving-kindness shall encompass him.

DRA: Many are the scourges of the sinner, but mercy shall encompass him that hopeth in the Lord.

KJV: Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.

Psalms 32:11

ASV: Be glad in Jehovah, and rejoice, ye righteous; And shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart. Psalm 33

DARBY: Rejoice in Jehovah, and be glad, ye righteous; and shout for joy, all ye upright in heart.

DRA: Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye just, and glory, all ye right of heart.
