Psalms 52:1

AMP: Why do you boast of evil, O mighty man?The lovingkindness of God endures all day long.

ASV: Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? The lovingkindness of God [endureth] continually.

Psalms 52:4

Psalms 52:5

AMP: ¶But God will break you down forever;He will take you away and tear you away from your tent,And uproot you from the land of the living. Selah.

ASV: God will likewise destroy thee for ever; He will take thee up, and pluck thee out of thy tent, And root thee out of the land of the living. Selah

Psalms 52:7

AMP: “Look, [this is] the man who would not make God his strength [his stronghold and fortress],But trusted in the abundance of his riches,Taking refuge in his wealth.”

ASV: Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And strengthened himself in his wickedness.

BSB: “Look at the manwho did not make God his refuge,but trusted in the abundance of his wealthand strengthened himself by destruction.”

DARBY: Behold the man that made not God his strength, but put confidence in the abundance of his riches, [and] strengthened himself in his avarice.

DRA: Therefore will God destroy thee for ever: he will pluck thee out, and remove thee from thy dwelling place: and thy root out of the land of the living.

Psalms 52:8

AMP: ¶But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God;I trust [confidently] in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever.

ASV: But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God: I trust in the lovingkindness of God for ever and ever.

BSB: But I am like an olive treeflourishing in the house of God;I trust in the loving devotion of Godforever and ever.

Psalms 52:9

AMP: I will thank You forever, because You have done it, [You have rescued me and kept me safe].I will wait on Your name, for it is good, in the presence of Your godly ones.

ASV: I will give thee thanks for ever, because thou hast done it; And I will hope in thy name, for it is good, in the presence of thy saints. Psalm 53 For the Chief Musician; set to Mahalath. Maschil of David.

Psalms 52:10

DRA: But I, as a fruitful olive tree in the house of God, have hoped in the mercy of God for ever, yea for ever and ever.

Psalms 52:11

DRA: I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name, for it is good in the sight of thy saints.
