Psalms 61:1

AMP: Hear my cry, O God;Listen to my prayer.

ASV: Hear my cry, O God; Attend unto my prayer.

Psalms 61:2

AMP: From the end of the earth I call to You, when my heart is overwhelmed and weak;Lead me to the rock that is higher than I [a rock that is too high to reach without Your help].

ASV: From the end of the earth will I call unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Psalms 61:3

AMP: For You have been a shelter and a refuge for me,A strong tower against the enemy.

Psalms 61:4

AMP: Let me dwell in Your tent forever;Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah.

ASV: I will dwell in thy tabernacle for ever: I will take refuge in the covert of thy wings. Selah

Psalms 61:5

AMP: ¶For You have heard my vows, O God;You have given me the inheritance of those who fear Your name [with reverence].

ASV: For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: Thou hast given [me] the heritage of those that fear thy name.

Psalms 61:6

AMP: You will prolong the king’s life [adding days upon days];His years will be like many generations.

ASV: Thou wilt prolong the king`s life; His years shall be as many generations.

Psalms 61:7

AMP: He will sit enthroned forever before [the face of] God;Appoint lovingkindness and truth to watch over and preserve him.

ASV: He shall abide before God for ever: Oh prepare lovingkindness and truth, that they may preserve him.

BSB: May he sit enthroned in God’s presence forever;appoint Your loving devotionand Your faithfulness to guard him.

Psalms 61:8

AMP: So I will sing praise to Your name forever,Paying my vows day by day.

ASV: So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, That I may daily perform my vows. Psalm 62 For the Chief Musician; after the manner of Jeduthan. A Psalm of David.
