Psalms 75:1

AMP: We give thanks and praise to You, O God, we give thanks,For Your [wonderful works declare that Your] name is near;People declare Your wonders.

ASV: We give thanks unto thee, O God; We give thanks, for thy name is near: Men tell of thy wondrous works.

BSB: We give thanks to You, O God;we give thanks, for Your Name is near.The people declare Your wondrous works.

Psalms 75:2

AMP: “When I select an appointed time,I will judge with equity,” [says the Lord].

ASV: When I shall find the set time, I will judge uprightly.

BSB: “When I choose a time,I will judge fairly.

DARBY: When I shall receive the assembly, I will judge with equity.

DRA: We will praise thee, O God: we will praise, and we will call upon thy name. We will relate thy wondrous works:

Psalms 75:3

AMP: “The earth and all the inhabitants of it melt [in tumultuous times].It is I who will steady its pillars. Selah.

ASV: The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I have set up the pillars of it. Selah

BSB: When the earth and all its dwellers quake,it is I who bear up its pillars.Selah

DARBY: The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I have established its pillars. Selah.

Psalms 75:4

AMP: “I said to the arrogant, ‘Do not boast;’And to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up the horn [of self-glorification].

ASV: I said unto the arrogant, Deal not arrogantly; And to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

BSB: I say to the proud, ‘Do not boast,’and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horn.

DARBY: I said unto the boastful, Boast not; and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

DRA: The earth is melted, and all that dwell therein: I have established the pillars thereof.

Psalms 75:5

AMP: ‘Do not lift up your [defiant and aggressive] horn on high,Do not speak with a stiff neck.’ ”

ASV: Lift not up your horn on high; Speak not with a stiff neck.

Psalms 75:6

AMP: ¶For not from the east, nor from the west,Nor from the desert comes exaltation. [Is 14:13]

ASV: For neither from the east, nor from the west, Nor yet from the south, [cometh] lifting up.

BSB: For exaltation comes neither from east nor west,nor out of the desert,

Psalms 75:7

AMP: But God is the Judge;He puts down one and lifts up another.

Psalms 75:8

AMP: For a cup [of His wrath] is in the hand of the Lord, and the wine foams;It is well mixed and fully spiced, and He pours out from it;And all the wicked of the earth must drain it and drink down to its dregs. [Ps 60:3; Jer 25:15; Rev 14:9, 10; 16:19]

ASV: For in the hand of Jehovah there is a cup, and the wine foameth; It is full of mixture, and he poureth out of the same: Surely the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall drain them, and drink them.

BSB: For a cup is in the hand of the LORD,full of foaming wine mixed with spices.He pours from His cup,and all the wicked of the earthdrink it down to the dregs.

DARBY: For in the hand of Jehovah there is a cup, and it foameth with wine, it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same; yea, the dregs thereof shall all the wicked of the earth drain off, [and] drink.

Psalms 75:9

AMP: ¶But as for me, I will declare it and rejoice forever;I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

ASV: But I will declare for ever, I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

BSB: But I will proclaim Him forever;I will sing praise to the God of Jacob.

DARBY: But as for me, I will declare for ever; I will sing psalms to the God of Jacob.

Psalms 75:10

AMP: All the horns of the wicked He will cut off,But the horns of the righteous will be lifted up.

BSB: “All the horns of the wicked I will cut off,but the horns of the righteous will be exalted.”

Psalms 75:11

DRA: And I will break all the horns of sinners: but the horns of the just shall be exalted.
