Psalms 8:1

ASV: O Jehovah, our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth, Who hast set thy glory upon the heavens!

DARBY: {To the chief Musician. Upon the Gittith. A Psalm of David.} Jehovah our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy majesty above the heavens.

Psalms 8:2

ASV: Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou established strength, Because of thine adversaries, That thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

DRA: O Lord our Lord, how admirable is thy name in the whole earth! For thy magnificence is elevated above the heavens.

Psalms 8:3

ASV: When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, The moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

DARBY: When I see thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and stars, which thou hast established;

DRA: Out of the mouth of infants and of sucklings thou hast perfected praise, because of thy enemies, that thou mayst destroy the enemy and the avenger.

Psalms 8:4

ASV: What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him?

ASV: All sheep and oxen, Yea, and the beasts of the field,
