Psalms 88:1

AMP: O Lord, the God of my salvation,I have cried out [for help] by day and in the night before You. [Luke 18:7]

Psalms 88:5

AMP: ¶Will You perform wonders for the dead?Shall the departed spirits arise and praise You? Selah.

AMP: Will Your wonders be known in the darkness?And Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness [where the dead forget and are forgotten]?

AMP: ¶But I have cried out to You, O Lord, for help;And in the morning my prayer will come to You.

Psalms 88:15

AMP: I was afflicted and close to death from my youth on;I suffer Your terrors; I am overcome.

ASV: I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: While I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.

BSB: From my youth I was afflicted and near death.I have borne Your terrors; I am in despair.

DRA: Lord, why castest thou off my prayer: why turnest thou away thy face from me?

AMP: Your fierce wrath has swept over me;Your terrors have destroyed me.
