Psalms 92:1

AMP: It is a good and delightful thing to give thanks to the Lord,To sing praises to Your name, O Most High,

ASV: It is a good thing to give thanks unto Jehovah, And to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High;

Psalms 92:2

AMP: To declare Your lovingkindness in the morningAnd Your faithfulness by night,

ASV: To show forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, And thy faithfulness every night,

BSB: to proclaim Your loving devotion in the morningand Your faithfulness at night

DARBY: To declare thy loving-kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness in the nights,

Psalms 92:3

Psalms 92:4

AMP: For You, O Lord, have made me glad by Your works;At the works of Your hands I joyfully sing.

ASV: For thou, Jehovah, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

Psalms 92:5

AMP: ¶How great are Your works, O Lord!Your thoughts are very deep [beyond man’s understanding].

ASV: How great are thy works, O Jehovah! Thy thoughts are very deep.

DARBY: Jehovah, how great are thy works! Thy thoughts are very deep:

Psalms 92:6

AMP: A senseless man [in his crude and uncultivated state] knows nothing,Nor does a [self-righteous] fool understand this:

ASV: A brutish man knoweth not; Neither doth a fool understand this:

Psalms 92:7

AMP: That though the wicked sprout up like grassAnd all evildoers flourish,They will be destroyed forever.

ASV: When the wicked spring as the grass, And when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; It is that they shall be destroyed for ever.

Psalms 92:8

AMP: But You, Lord, are on high forever.

Psalms 92:9

AMP: For behold, Your enemies, O Lord,For behold, Your enemies will perish;All who do evil will be scattered.

ASV: For, lo, thine enemies, O Jehovah, For, lo, thine enemies shall perish; All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

BSB: For surely Your enemies, O LORD,surely Your enemies will perish;all evildoers will be scattered.

Psalms 92:10

AMP: ¶But my horn [my emblem of strength and power] You have exalted like that of a wild ox;I am anointed with fresh oil [for Your service].

ASV: But my horn hast thou exalted like [the horn of] the wild-ox: I am anointed with fresh oil.

BSB: But You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox;with fine oil I have been anointed.

DARBY: But my horn shalt thou exalt like a buffalo's: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

DRA: For behold thy enemies, O Lord, for behold thy enemies shall perish: and all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

Psalms 92:11

AMP: My eye has looked on my foes;My ears hear of the evildoers who rise up against me.

ASV: Mine eye also hath seen [my desire] on mine enemies, Mine ears have heard [my desire] of the evil-doers that rise up against me.

BSB: My eyes see the downfall of my enemies;my ears hear the wailing of my wicked foes.

DRA: But my horn shall be exalted like that of the unicorn: and my old age in plentiful mercy.

Psalms 92:12

AMP: The righteous will flourish like the date palm [long-lived, upright and useful];They will grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic and stable].

ASV: The righteous shall flourish like the palm-tree: He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

BSB: The righteous will flourish like a palm tree,and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

DARBY: The righteous shall shoot forth like a palm-tree; he shall grow like a cedar on Lebanon.

DRA: My eye also hath looked down upon my enemies: and my ear shall hear of the downfall of the malignant that rise up against me.

Psalms 92:13

AMP: Planted in the house of the Lord,They will flourish in the courts of our God.

ASV: They are planted in the house of Jehovah; They shall flourish in the courts of our God.

DARBY: Those that are planted in the house of Jehovah shall flourish in the courts of our God:

Psalms 92:14

AMP: [Growing in grace] they will still thrive and bear fruit and prosper in old age;They will flourish and be vital and fresh [rich in trust and love and contentment];

ASV: They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; They shall be full of sap and green:

BSB: In old age they will still bear fruit;healthy and green they will remain,

DARBY: They are still vigorous in old age, they are full of sap and green;

DRA: They that are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of the house of our God.

Psalms 92:15

AMP: [They are living memorials] to declare that the Lord is upright and faithful [to His promises];He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. [Rom 9:14]

ASV: To show that Jehovah is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. Psalm 93
